- - Transmission on a 2003 Honda Accord failed within 8 months of purchase, and Alpha Warranty Services says it isn't covered after $700 teardown labor.
The transmission went out on our 2003 Honda Accord. We had purchased a warranty from Alpha Warranty Services at the time of purchasing the vehicle, offered by the dealer.
Less than 8 months after purchasing the car, our transmission went out. The licensed shop we took our car to called Alpha Warranty Services and they were told they had to completely tear down the transmission. So after $700 worth of labor to do what they had been asked, Alpha Warr. Serv.
sent out one of their agents and decided it was not covered. So not only are we stuck with an extra $700 worth of labor, they decided they could find a loop hole not pay a penny on our transmission. Nice huh?
We contacted Alpha Warranty Company and a sarcastic guy on the phone said "too bad". Not only do they have an extremely poor warranty, they also have poor customer service.
