Alpha Helicopter

I bought a special on Groupon ($159) in March, 2011 from Alpha helicopters for my husband's birthday surprise. I called in April to schedule for JUNE and ended upgrading with a guy named Clayton. I added the weekend, more time and a sunset tour. This cost me an additional $170.69 on my AmEx. As the time got closer I couldn't reach anyone to confirm. I tried phone calls everyday, and even sent an e-mail. I was about to drive to hanger after Opa Locka personal informed me that ALPHA helicopters did not exsist there!!! The women even got into a gold cart and went to their 'address' for me!

I made one last attempt at a call before driving there and someone named Mark picked up. I told him I was calling to confirmation my husbands birthday surprise as I wanted it to run smoothly. I also mentioned to Mark about them not being in OPA Locka airport. He gave some spiel about them just "using' it for tours. He then informed me that they were getting around to calling about having to cancel my tour due to "maintenance" and over booking. He gave me a hard time regarding both rescheduling and refunds. Mark told me he had no other phone numbers to give me and I had to write an e-mail if I wanted to do either. I told him I never had a response to my first e-mail and wanted a different number than the one I already had. NOTHING. The guy was a compete incompetent. Strangely I had an e-mail later that day saying I could resched or refund. I asked for refund for the $170.69 and i would get the credit from Groupon (which I did but would have preferred a refund there). No response, nothing. I had to find another tour company in Pompano last minute for another weekend. I have sent e-mails with no response except for one saying that the accountant had been out sick and would contact me later that day. That was over a week ago and I have since sent e-mails and a couple VM to no avail. NO REFUND HAS BEEN GIVEN TO DATE! I am starting legal action if my AmEx is not refunded by end of the week. I do hope you take heed as this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company! If you already have an existing tour scheduled I wish you luck and that you are able to have a different experience.

I purchased a groupon to go on a helicopter tour through Groupon. I bought it back in April, called to make a reservation and upgraded for a weekend tour which resulted in a greater charge but I figured it was worth it. My tour was scheduled for May.

I called a week prior my flight to confirm everything was fine and was told that they were just going to call me to cancel the tour due to maintenance. I said it was fine and I rescheduled for May. Again, when May came around, I got a voicemail advising that they were canceling the flight due to maintenance (Again!!!!), their voicemail said to send them an e-mail for rescheduling so I followed the instructions and sent an e-mail to them.

The response that I got was that they were booked and if I wanted I could be added to a "priority waiting list" in order to be scheduled Asap. I advised them that I wanted to be added to the list and they just replied saying ok. June came and I figured I would make a reservation for My boyfriend's birthday is August. I sent them an e-mail as instructed and after inquiring about a tour they told me that they were booked through the whole month of August. This is when I became super irate, I attempted to contact them via phone but of course, I would only get a recording stating that if we purchased it through Groupon, we should just send an e-mail and everyone else could leave a voice mail.

I contacted Groupon and requested a refund, they were really helpful and apologetic and advised me that unfortunately they had no control over the companied they worked with and I completely understand. I have been calling Alpha Helicopted for months now and I have gotten nowhere. I need to get a refund on the upgrade I payed for. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening any time soon.

I purchased a helicopter flight from ALPHA helicopters or my boyfriend and I for his birthday in June. I scheduled this flight about 4 months in advance yet I had to call them to find out my flight had been cancelled.

I had less than 3 days cancellation notice. I offered to drive to another location for our scheduled flight but they said it would be months before I could even schedule a relacement flight! There is NO customer service phone number! The only number online was the sales office who suggested I send another e-mail.

I am still waiting for a phone call or email response pertaining to my refund!

Don't make the mistake I did and use this company to assist in a surprise for your loved one, it won't happen! Now I'm left scrambling to make new plans, thanks!!!!!!

We purchased a helicopter ride from Alpha Helicopters LLC Sarasota Fl for our son's 13th birthday. We called and made a reservation for 27th Feb at 3pm, we were told to be 15min early.

We arrived at 2:30 and waited for an hour until the pilot showed when he arrived there were another customer waiting their appt was at 3:30. He could not find our name on the list however he did have the other couples, he told "he would give them their tour and when he got back he would try to figure something out for us" we said we had already be their an hour and we were not going to wait any longer.

We then called Alpha and spoke to a manager, he wanted us to schedule another time with the same pilot we said "no thanks" now we are in the process of trying to get our money back. Bottom line horrible customer service.
