Agent did not return calls even during car accident

Agent Brooke Alvino in Dana Point would not return calls for direction during car accident and now wants us to continue using her as our agent for a new car purchase . We requested to be released from her agency but she has refused. I have been told by Allstate that I have to cancel our relationship with All State completely for 6 months then we can choose another agent. Allstate would prefer customers cancel their policys instead of offering a new agent.

User's recommendation: Stay away from All State. They will not take care of you at all.

Stay away from this fly by night organizaiton

Received a premium notice for a policy my wife and I have on our Son. The Policy is broken into two certificate Numbers one is for critical Illness and one is for Accident. The Amount due on critical illness is $19.68. The amount due to Accident is $12.88. According to the premium notice, each certificate is valid for one month. So I call the number on the premium. They can't find anything under either certificate number. So I call the local Allstate agent here in Des Moines (Timothy Brehn) and his girlfriend answeres...she can't find anything either. Now they ask for my son's SSN (last 4) (for security reasons). Since when is the PSTN a secure method of sending and receiving information? Answer: Never...its never been a secure method of doing anything.. Don't believe me? Ask all the "ethical Hackers" that work for the US Government. They will confirm this. So I don't have his last 4..(he's thirty years old) I haven't seen his SSN in eons...Well...thats all they can do...(for security reasons)...I really glad this wasn't a life insurance policy that I was trying to coordinate. They couldn't find anything even with their own Certificate Numbers. So I called my Son and got his last 4 over the PSTN (telephone system). I got his last 4 and called back. They couldn't give me the information I needed because I'm not the primary account holder...(just his Dad). What a fly by night organization they've become! Glad this wasn't a life insurance policy... Garbage, Trash, consumer rip off....thats what come to mind.

Failure to process

Wife sustained a small cut to her thumb. Became infected and required Surgery and a weeks hospitalization. Claim filed and paperwork submitted along with releases for medical records for 1 year back. Was informed they never received the medical releases just the endless paperwork with all the documentation notes, bills etc. was told they would resend the form and instead I get a failure to comply case closed letter. Biggest scam company out there. Have no problem taking my money every paycheck but when I am out thousands of dollars and have a hope they will reimburse they say it’s not covered. Cancelled my policy immediately and will inform others to do so as well.

I had a issue with the critical illness cancer coverage, apparently they can pick and choose which area of your body they will cover when it comes to Carcinoma In situ so hope you never sign up for this benefit thinking that if you get cancer they will not cover anything. Don't waste your money in hopes of protecting yourself, they are only protecting the money they take from you.
