Allied Van Lines Complaints and Reviews
I’m not quite sure where to start with this review. The short version is as follows. My wife and I paid Allied over $7,000 to move us from New Jersey to Indiana. We were told that the movers would wait to deliver our items to the destination until we arrived a few days later. The next day, I received a call telling me that they were going to deliver the items the following day, with or without us. Since we were not present for the delivery, the...Read more
Moving household from Wisconsin to Illinois. All set for moving date. Deposit paid. Packing date, 8/1/16. No show. Called and asked why--we don't have any trucks (isn't a truck a key part of the moving business?). 8/2/16--No show. We don't have a truck or anyone to pack goods. 8/3/16--No show. We are over-booked and sub-contracting with another mover. House is sold as of 8/5/16 and we have to be out. Hopefully new sub-contractor own a truck...Read more
I understand that things happen during a move, but they completely destroyed my king sized sleigh bed and an electric fireplace. They broke two picture frames, and left sever gouges in my queen sized sleigh bed and my dresser. Oh, and some china is missing. Their offer? Some knock-off headboard that they found on a Wayfair website. Not even close to the original furniture sets in quality, but more importantly, they DON'T EVEN MATCH MY...Read more

DO NOT use this company. They will "lose" your items and not do anything about it. It wasn't just a box or two. It was five pieces of large furniture. I haven't heard back from the claims department yet but I'm guessing they won't give me much of anything back. Worst company ever. Please don't use them!

On 12 Sep at approximately 08:50 one of your semi trailer moving vans was proceeding north on Main Street, Bel Air, MD, with the driver operating a held held smart phone. This sends an incredibly bad message and I am sure not what you would expect from should be ambassadors of your company.

Called corporate to get them to set up move from state to state, figuring they could handle setting that up. They couldn't, their agent in Rhode Island never showed up or called to to cancel. Not a good sign, glad that they *** themselves out, last thing I need is wondering where my furniture and belongings are. Thank you Allied for showing me what I could expect.

Allied Van Lines calls me at LEAST 3 times a day at various hours of the day and night. Sunday's even. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. I went online to an estimated move calculator that was not affiliated with any movers. I ended up with at least 5 movers contacting me via email. All of them, except Allied, stopped contacting me. I emailed Allied back SEVERAL times because my move date was not set . Instead, more emails and more of my...Read more
We recently moved from Florida to Arizona. Allied moved and stored our belongings for 4 months. We just received our move and I have never seen anything like this. So much damage - I have several pieces of furniture that are ruined from breakage, water damage and mold. TV is broken, furniture is gashed and several pieces have actual green mold on them. When we booked the move, I was promised that furniture would be protected. Many damaged...Read more

Quincy Storage and Transfer (Allied Van Lines) grossly underestimated the cost of our move to Wyoming. They came to my house in Missouri to do an inventory of what was to be moved. They estimated the weight at 9600 lbs. and the estimated price was $8807.80. When they delivered I paid them an additional 10%, ($9688.58) Now they want an additional $2756.66 because they said the weight was actually 14,080 lbs. I've even offered to meet them...Read more
Due to delayed closing on my house it became necessary to store my items with them for 30 days. When they delivered my goods many items were missing. Despite constant calls and written reports I never received a single missing item nor did I receive any compensation, not even the insurance money. What I did receive was constant lies and unfulfilled promises!! Damaged items were repaired by absolute hacks not the "antiques specialist" I was...Read more
