Completely Ripped Off!!
- - They couldn't perform requested service and did other work.
- - Final bill was 485 after a 220-250 quote; no on-site authorization or notification.
Called Allen's Plumbing for a very specific service on a rental property. They came out and were not able to do what was requested so instead did other services.
I was quoted at $220-$250, but the final bill was $485! Since I (the home owner) was not on sight they acted as if they were given a blank check and did whatever they wanted. They never even called to tell us what they were doing or to get authorization. This is a completely shady and immoral company, save yourself the trouble and call someone else!
Check other reviews and the BBB - you'll find other negative comments and the BBB does not give a recommendation for this company. Over 20 bad reviews reported through the BBB.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Plumber
- - Charged $700 to clear an A/C drainage line and placed a lien on my property.
- - Allens Plumbing bills under the AAAA license and has 25+ liens since 2011.
They charged me $700.00 to clear an a/c drainage line...
I refused to pay it all. They put a lien on my property.
I checked and they have "leined" over 25 properties since
2011. The liens are under AAAA Allen Plumbing. The bill
was from Allens Plumbing and they are using the license for AAAA Allens Plumbing. They charged me for
the equipment they used, even thou it is what they carry on their truck and advertise so. BBB has had complaints also and will not recommend them.
There are Internet complaints that they over charge. This
Plumber needs to be put out of business.

I had a very similar experience with Allen's Plumbing in August of 2020. Called them about a leaking toilet seal and got a bill for over $750!
Was told the technician had to go on the roof with heavy equipment to clear vent stacks. Received no notification that the scope of the job "needed" to be expanded before the work was performed.
Complaints to BBB, Pinellas County Consumer Protection, and Small Claims Court provided no relief as each (apparently) required the service provider to admit there was a problem needing resolution. Dave Hennig.
