- Uncovered load from a Shearer Trucking rig broke my windshield on Hwy 16; bill sent to VP Bill Leber, ignored, planning small claims.
KINGS OF THE *** About a month ago a Shearer Trucking rig, traveling with an uncovered load, was on Highway 16 just about the Chico Creek exit had a rock come off and break my father nearly new front windshield. Since we both witnessed it happen and the truck has cameras responsibility was easy to assess and so we reached out right away.
We were told to speak with Bill Leber, the VP, and we did. We submitted a bill and waited. We have since phoned and emailed only to be blown off! I am guessing this is not their first illegal load nor the first vehicle they have damaged with no taking care of the damage after their carelessness.
I am no longer under any illusion they will do the right thing so I have begun warning others and when I see their illegal loads calling in their drivers as well!!
Don't let these *** continue to damage rigs and simply evade responsibility for doing so! See you in small claims court shortly ***
