AI Highlights
  • - Two mechanics say header issue is covered by an extended warranty.
  • - Dealership says not covered and quotes $9,000; diagnostic fee $99.

I researched the problem on my 2013 jeep wrangler, only 80,000 miles, on it and had 2 independent mechanics look at it and look up issue. One being a past employee of dealership, advised me that there was issue with the header and there was 150,000 10 year warranty to repair.

Well of course this dealership who I have had problems with before in service department tells me they called and were told nope not covered and would cost me short of $9,000 to repair. This being after service adviser sitting beside him said there was an extended on the header for some of the 2013 3.6 v6 engines. I take care of my jeep change oil as needed and for the engine to go bad at 80000 come on.... after Harvey ,I can't deal with having to have repairs at my coat when it is an issue of the manufacturer Alarming there js a recall on my air bag...not once has that been mentioned.

My engine knocks like crazy and I love my jeep but they advised i trade it in And buy new vehicle. Very very shady and I am at the point I dont trust Chrysler. My issues began way back with my dodge, ac went out in truck, then transmission in another....I just want my engine fixed and the service department at dealership alo g with sales staff to be reviewed...something g shady gojng on, I would love to trust a service department located less than a mile frkm my home but I can't and I don't believe anything...they even charged me 99.00 to tell me what I told them and handed them diagnostic print outs. I am juat beside me myself.

Then 2 days to change oil and inspection which wasn't completed because i needed my vehicle back. Only reason I returned was because both mechanics said it was and should be under extended warranty....don't you think these guys would have wanted to make the money but are honest unlike aransas pass dealership.
