Product not as advertised
Bait and switch. When you type in veal cutlet.
You get a pop up that says veal cutlet. When the page comes up it says veal slices. I over looked that. Still thinking I was ordering cutlets.
I bought 6 pounds. It also 2 pieces per pack. Not so either mine had 5 to 6 per pack. All about 2" or 3" long.
The cut was very uneven. Next thing this is not a prime cut of meat. Finley it has very good flavor but to tuff to eat. The only redeeming factor was the free hamburger patties.
They are very good. I wrote 2 reviews on the Allen Brother site they did not post one. So all the 4.5 and 5 star reviews you see are seeing. Are only because they will not post the bad ones.
Good luck with your order. Hopefully you get what you want.

Ordered a 3 rib prime roast and paid $249.00. It was awful, Tough and flavorless.
So too were small fillets also way overpriced. Don't be lured by free burgers, they too aren't very good.

Verified ReviewerSelling Product They Do Not Have
I placed an order or Veal Cutlets in the middle of May 2022 for a ship date of the end of June 2022. When they order was supposed to ship Miraculously it was out of stock.
They try to switch me to something else. They said it might be back in stock in 2 weeks. They have my $10-5 and no product and not guarantees that he product will be back in stock.
I waited 8 months for this product to be back in stock and ordered it. They have not inventory control or have misleading sales practices or both

Company going downhill?
duplicate review can be removed
Having been a long time customer of Allen Brother products (since 2010) I am very disappointed with their declining quality control, packaging, customer service. It started with labels falling off, packages not being vacuum sealed properly.
Then more and more items that were questionable as to age, showing signs of freezer burn, etc. Now I've received an order of some prime steaks that were advertised as such but when they arrived had an extra label stating they were 'mechanically tenderized' and would need to be cooked to 145F and held for 3 minutes for food safety. WTH??? 1st off nothing on the website or product page mentioned anything about it being 'mechanically tenderized'.
I like my steaks rare and obviously 145 is not rare. If it's a so called USDA prime steak why are they taking it upon themselves to 'mechanically tenderize' it? Are they using cheaper cuts of meat? Why aren't they advertising that fact?
I went round and round with a supervisor about it but they refused to offer me any recourse. They insisted they don't need to advertise the 'mechanical tenderization' and that's the FDA'S recommended cooking temp for beef in general, but that label was something in addition to the standard FDA recommendation! It's the required food safety temperature for 'mechanically tenderized' meat. Mechanical tenderizing is a method, usually used on cheaper cuts of meat, that can introduce bacteria/pathogens to the inner part of the cut that may not be killed off if not cooked to the higher temp.
In any case why the subterfuge unless they're trying to get away with a cheaper cut of meat?
When I pointed this out customer service got defensive bordering on belligerent. I for one won't be using them again?

Great customer service
I ordered filet mignon for a Christmas gift. I called in the middle of the night on 12/19/18 to ask for delivery to CA by Christmas.
The customer service rep was incredibly good.
She was informed, patient, helpful and pleasant. My gift was ordered to arrive on 12/21, and we shall see what the quality of the steak is.

Resolved: Allen Brothers - Meat Review
They really stepped up their costumer service. Issues resolved and have placed another order from them. Thank you!!
Since my post, customer service has contacted me and is trying to resolve this issue.
Customer service? Yeah, no.
I had placed an order for their steak tips after I received some of their steaks as a gift. The steaks were good but the tips were terrible! They were layered in gristle! I called to complain and was told they would contact me, they never did.
I called again and they said they would e mail a gift card towards another purchase, well that never happened. I called and emailed again.
No reply. Wont be ordering again!
Horrible Customer Service/Delivery never arrived Christmas Eve
I ordered our Christmas Eve meal 2 weeks prior with delivery day 12/23. A rep called the evening before delivery to tell me they did not get it out in time but guaranteed delivery Christmas Eve day by noon.
By 3pm Christmas Eve food was not here so we had to run out while guests were here to do an emergency foodshop. I called Allen Bros on 12/24 at 2pm and rep told me it was not her problem. She was very rude and continued to talk over me. Worst customer service.
She said it had been shipped FedEx so it was their problem. I told her FedEx had no record meat had even been picked up day before. We have been charged over $200 and the food never arrived. Leaving for 2 weeks today and may come home to rancid meat on our back porch.
Not my problem! Amex has been contacted and our refund has been credited by AMEX! I will write reviews everywhere I can to let the public know this bootleg company is unprofessional.
They do not have the ability to fulfill holiday orders on time. They almost ruined our Christmas Eve save for the one store in our small town that was still open and had a tenderloin on the shelf!
- No delivery

Awful customer service. Multiple delivery problems.
This is our second time to receive room temperature steaks at our doorstep. Customer service reserves 48-hours to call you back when you have this issue, meanwhile, your steaks are festering and you don't know whether to throw them in your garbage can in 100-degree weather or save them somehow in your house (where?) so that they're handy when the customer service rep finally decides to call you back.
Oh, and did I say this has happened to us twice now? Both times it has been because we received these steaks as gifts, we were not expecting them, and they do not require a signature for delivery (why!??) I am tired of throwing out steaks.
The last time it happened, they did NOT send new ones. Let's see what they do this time.

Don't buy gift cards
Ordered a gift ecard for in-laws - complete with message. Turns out despite collecting recipient information and message, Allen Brothers doesn't actually send ecards.
Instead, 4 days later and after I inquired, they emailed me emailed me an ecard number, which I then had to send to my in-laws. And even better - they sent the wrong number - so when order was placed, ecard was "invalid". Very embarrassing!
I called and eventually got the right number - no apology offered for lack or gift cards (that they advertise) or for the giving me the wrong number. Don't know if the steaks are any good but with this sort of service, I will look elsewhere next time.

Roughly parallels my own experience. Ordered 12/8 for delivery 12/23.
Received a call12/23 offering overnight delivery - which made sense to me.
NEVER SHIPPED - NEVER ARRIVED. EVER.
You don't expect this sort of (lack of/poor) service from an organization known for premium products.
