Unauthorized charges and price gouging during COVID-19

I called this company to service my pellet stove and install a part that allows me to turn on the stove. This is my main source of heat and since I am quarantined during COVID-19 I needed this service completed very quickly.

There was no quote or estimate provided over the phone when I made the appt but the technician said there would not be any extra charges to install the part. Not only was that untrue but they charged me an arbitrary amount of $866 for the install! Plus another $188 for the service and cleaning. They did not confirm the final total when i gave them my credit card and due to a miscommunication I was under the impression the charge would be $255.

They then told me they charged me for SIX HOURS of work when the tech was only there for 3.

I'm confused and frustrated that this would happen. Now I dont have any money to pay bills or feed my family during the coronavirus pandemic.
