I brought my car to All Valley Car Care for minor repairs, expecting professional service and expertise. Unfortunately, my experience was far from that.
What started as a routine repair spiraled into a series of repeated issues, poor workmanship, and catastrophic engine damage that left my vehicle inoperable.
Despite multiple attempts to have the shop address these concerns, each repair led to new problems, requiring my car to be returned again and again. After an independent inspection by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, I was informed the damage caused during these repairs had rendered my engine beyond repair - TOTALING MY VEHICLE.
I engaged with the shop in good faith, for a fair resolution. They acknowledged the workmanship and terminated the technician responsible but did not take appropriate accountability for the extensive damage. I was told they would file an insurance claim, only to later be offered a "take-it-or-leave-it" settlement of $720 which is 3.6% of the actual total financial loss of $19,655.
This ordeal has lasted over 150 days, and like most retirees, it was my forever car and now I have a significant financial loss.
Mistakes happen in business, how they choose to manage them speaks volumes. Unfortunately, they did not stand behind their work in a way that I believe was fair or responsible.
If you are considering this shop for repairs, I encourage you to proceed with caution and ensure you understand their policies on workmanship guarantees and accountability before entrusting them with your vehicle. For over a decade, she carried me through all seasons, never letting me downalways getting me home safe and sound. Like many, I name all my cars and hers was Grace - favor, blessing, and charm.
It is heartbreaking to see her legacy end this way.
MY RECOMMENDATION:
If you're thinking of taking your car to All Valley Car Care, I'd recommend instead just setting your engine on fire and mailing the ashes to a mechanic with actual qualifications. It would be quicker, less heartbreaking, and honestly, more dignified than what happened to Grace. This shop turned my reliable Mercedes into a very expensive paperweight. Unless you enjoy emotional trauma, financial loss, and being gaslit with "take-it-or-leave-it" settlements, do yourself a favor and leave it.
