Bad Practice

Original review updated by user Jan 14, 2022
After numerous talks with the sales manager Nick, we finally came to an agreement on a price for an Alpha Romeo Stelvio. He sent the contract to my email and the interest rate was 4.0. I thought that was too high so I submit an application to my bank and they gave me an interest rate of 1.2. Once I recieved the notification I called the dealership. I was told by Nick that if I used my bank I would no longer get the deal we agreed upon. I had to use their bank because they get cash incentive for referring people to the bank they use with high interest rate which it is no surprise it is Bank America. Please do not use this dealership. Go to Sarasota, Miami, or Tampa! This happened at Alfa Romeo Naples

User's recommendation: Visit another dealer.

Extremely poor customer service.

Alfa Romeo - Extremely poor customer service.
I leased an auto from Towbin Fiat Alfa Romeo on December 19th, 2020. i was told to call my Credit Union for a payoff on my trade in and was quoted a payoff amount of $21,000. I also had a November payment due and to avoid the late charge I made an additional payment that was supposed to be credited back to my savings account once the dealer paid the car off. Salesman Jeremy knew what I had done and I gave him the paper with the written payoff amount of $21,000 and change. I came to find out a month later after several trips to the dealer asking why my trade was not paid off and I received several different answers as to why the pay off was not made and each time I explained to them that I had another car payment due for December and inquired as to where my green slip was for the lease car. This was a month after the initial visit to lease a new car. On my last visit to complain, I was told that the payoff would be over nighted to the Credit Union and they found my green slip to register my new car. The next day I checked the credit Union Savings only to find out that my November payment was not credited back to my account because the Dealer only sent in $20,000 to pay off the car. Which meant that I was out $539.00 dollars. I called and spoke to my salesman and asked him why and he told me he would look into this and told me he had my back on it. That was 10 days ago and still nothing.

User's recommendation: Avoid this dealership at all cost.

Worse customer service ever

Alfa Romeo - Worse customer service ever
Car recalled and full of water. Electrical system gone haywire. Car in shop 2 of the 6 mos I’ve owned it. Speakers crackling, wipers failed, windows not going down, gas gauge not accurate, hatch opened twice while driving the car, nav system shut down totally while driving, turn signal went out, brake lights failed. Car is not fixed and never has been. Situation “escalated” to legal. Total joke. Some rude nasty guy in Texas informs me I will “listen to what he has to say” or he has the power to “close out the case”. Alpha told me they can’t replicate and I need to go get my car. Insanity. Uploading proof. Alpha refused to buyback, replace or refund. No brake lights or turn signal are you kidding me?

a car that is not 100% right at delivery, and can't go at least 100000 miles without any major problem has no business being in the USA!

Playing your speakers to loud make them cracking can cause other stuff in electrics to brake

Alfa Romeo Threatens Customer with Bankruptcy

Alfa Romeo are threatening a customer with bankruptcy proceedings when her installment proposal to repay Alfa’s legal fees in the matter of a failed Mito turbo was rejected. Anita Jackson from Yorkshire, UK bought a new Alfa Romeo Mito in March 2011 but after religiously servicing it at an Alfa dealer the turbo failed in April 2014 just out of the warranty with only 12,783 miles on the clock. The turbo repair cost the Jacksons £525. Dissatisfied with the repair cost and the Alfa customer care attitude the Jacksons took out 2 unsuccessful small claims cases but the final claim for £499 was struck out and it was ruled the Jacksons should pay the Alfa legal fees of £1729!!

Bad Customer Dervice

Take note all Alpha Romeo 147 owners on the peril of your life  or at least your bank balance have your timing belt checked and changed. I had taken ownership of an Alpha Romeo 147 01 reg. 3 weeks prior to the timing belt going 5 weeks ago. The car is now!! !ready for collection at a cost of 2618 euros. Because the car had not been serviced by an Alpha Dealer it would seem that the fact that the Alpha is renowned for problems with timing belts had not been passed on to the owner. While the car was serviced regularily it seems the timing belt had not been changed. One would ask that since Alpha "discovered" the problem with timing belts and particularily the 147 01 reg should registered owners not been notified? Many calls to the Alpha Customer Service routed to their Milan department showed little sympathy. The fact that their dealer took 5 weeks to fix the problem at a hired car cost to this owner of 800 euro in addition to the cost of repair fell on unsympathetic ears. Should the availability of a replacement car not be a requirement of  appointed Alpha Dealers?I understand that the timing belt problem has been experienced by many alpha owners to a far greater extent than other car models. I ask why?  and why should repair costs run so high? and why should they get away with such poor customer service? A reputable journalist is about to investigate watch this space!   I
