Shady business

  • - Power bank priced 120; paid 80 with free screen protector.
  • - It wouldn’t charge my phone after one use.
  • - No refunds; exchanged for a defective device.

I was convinced to buy an overpriced power bank that was sold for $120. The dealer gave me a good deal (I got it for $80, plus a screen protector he just gave me for free).

So far, so good. I charged it overnight, and the next day the item wouldn't charge my phone once (it was supposed to charge it four times). I almost couldn't get home because I was relying on it. On the website, this thing is sold for almost $500.

Crazy! I went to the shop, and they obviously do not do refunds. I called the manager, and there was no way I could get refunded. So in the end, I got it exchanged for another device that unfortunately still doesn't work properly.

Very bad attitude, very poor products, very bad policy. Stay away!

Dishonest service of staff displayed!!! I was at Pier 39 and the salesperson held on mine and my partners phones to try on the phone covers.

We informed him we were not interested but he still had my phone and he WENT ON TO APPLY A SCEEN PROTECTOR EVEN WHEN I SAID NO MULTIPLE TIMES. At first he said he was doing it for free but ended up asking for $10 for a service I didnt ask for.

Disgusting behaviour. I will NEVER PATRONISE AND I WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS DISHONEST SHOP.

SCAM OF A BUSINESS AND CHEAP PRODUCTS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - No receipt; salesman refused and warranty unverified.
  • - Headphones priced at 100; similar model on Amazon for 40; free items broke.
Aleenk - SCAM OF A BUSINESS AND CHEAP PRODUCTS

SCAM of a business & their products. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I went to the store Aleenk Technologies in San Francisco on Poer 39 for a phone charger cord and left with free 3 charging cords, a phone case with built in battery, 2 free screen protectors, a free car phone magnet and a pair of headphones. I paid 100.00 for the headphones (alone) that the salesman said normally costs 400.00 online. I was highly upset when I got home and saw the headphones were cheaply made, looked nothing like the box and found the same pair on Amazon, brand new for 40.00!! BOTH screen protectors broke after 1 week and 2 of the charging cords broke within the first week.

The fast-talking salesman REFUSED to give me a receipt because "the receipt will not reflect the great deal he gave me." I spent 75.00 cash and 100.00 on my card. I tried to dispute the 100.00 with my card issuer but they said I needed to resolve it with the business first. HOW? I HAVE NO RECEIPT OR THE SALESMAN NAME.

Their info is non existent online...no Facebook, Instagram, official website, phone number, address...go figure. I can't even get the warranty the salesman promised on the cheap headphones because once again, I DO NOT HAVE A RECEIPT to enter the warranty website for purchase validation. I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO. Everything I left with was garbage.

All of these "free items" and "paid items" hold no value, cannot be resold or given away because everything is broken and/or doesn't work.

The headphones still work despite it being held together by what looks like it was glued by a 5 year old. If they were an upstanding store, they would not overcharge, give away so many free things, they would be honest, give receipts and not have so many bad reviews online regarding the same thing, *lack of INTEGRITY.*

Loss:
$175
Pros:
  • Lot of free items
Cons:
  • All of the free and paid items are cheap and worthless

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING! GO TO BEST BUY.

Literally everything can be purchased for a fraction of the price on Amazon. The cute dancing robot is $85 on Amazon, the chargers are about half the price.

I expected some markup due to location, but this was excessive. Thats what I get for not simply waking out and Googling.

Got scammed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Bought headphones, solar chargers, Bluetooth speakers, and a projector in SF.
  • - Not as shown; sound and charging are poor; no seller response.

12885**** headphones, 2 solar chargers, 2 Bluetooth speakers and the projector that I purchased as Christmas Gifts while I was in SanFrancisco on November 19 th is far from the same as I was shown in the store while there. I was given cheap, poorly made, and low quality merchandise.

terrible sound, no bass, no volume, charger wont stay charged, no adjustments, bluetooth speaker that is for water is poorly designed as the speaker flops face down in the water making it useless. none of it is the same or does what i was told and or showed and heard.

I was completely shocked at the garbage. I got hussled. This stuff is not worth a penny.

I have attempted to contact them multiple times thru their website at aleenk.com and their phony, overpriced website at rlxtech.com

I have not had any response. I live in Vancouver WA or I would go there in person and raise *** I have also now looked up information on this company and their products and have seen many other similar complaints. I also looked up the sku and products and saw that the exact same merchandise sells for fractions of what they charged me on Amazon and other places. clearly they are ripping people off and misrepresenting their merchandise.

I cant get anyone to respond. four attempts and nothing back.back.steet clearmclearmdont fall for it.don't fall for it.

I don't know if you will see this, original poster, but I was in San Francisco yesterday. I stupidly peeked into the store to browse.

My sister & I were hustled big time. It's completely my fault for being a push over. I told them no many times but the man kept throwing in more free items into "the deal". I ended up spending $400.00 that I shouldn't have & I feel completely taken.

I got home & looked up the items that I got such a great deal on & I was ripped off. No idea how to bring this company to more people's attention.

I am going to call Pier 39 customer service in San Francisco to make a complaint about the store with them & see if I can get additional help. I doubt I will be their first complaint.
