Hi, I bought tickets from Alcatraztickets.com back in November and they did send an email confirmation, but my trip is two weeks away and they still have not sent my tickets. I tried to reach them to confirm since I had decided to do night tour instead.
Someone picked up the phone in March to take my order, but I never received confirmation for that and no one at the company is answering the phone. I thought it seemed odd. I contacted them on Facebook and they said someone will call you today. No one ever contacted me so I wrote back and said what's the status.
No one is answering your phones and all go straight to voicemail.
They quickly deleted my posts and blocked me from being able to post on their page. SHADY!!
Same goes for alcatrazislandtickets.com.. $38 versus $30 at alcatrzcruises.com the official site. Go to the nps site and follow their link to ensure to get the official seller..
Alcatraztickets is technically legal, but many customers do not realize that it is not the original source of Alcatraz tickets and that there is a large markup per ticket. I accidentally bought from your site, and on top of paying an extra $10 per ticket, have to wait to see if your company can even get the tickets for me.
If I had been more careful, I would have paid less AND have guarenteed tickets right now. Buyer beware!
I am responding anonymously since the posting is anonymous -- very likely by a competitor of Alcatraz Tickets. This posting is libel.
Plain and simple. Alcatraz Tickets is not a scam, is not an imposter, and is not a rip-off. Alcatraz Tickets has sold millions of tickets over the last 10 years. One of the sad things about websites such as this is that they let people post libel and slander and make criminal accusations anonymously, so unscrupulous competitors go around posting false information to damage a competitor.
If this is a customer, it's just as bad as no one in America is supposed to make false, disparaging comments about a business without standing trial for libel or slander. But this website will probably hide the identity of this person.
So? It simply means you've ripped off millions of consumers and put millions of their dollars to your pocket by doing nothing (besides the effort of setting up a trap).
Same with alcatrazislandtickets.com. The websites are deliberately designed like the official site and even copied many of its contents. Shame on you. Dare you say that you've let the customers know before they check out, that you charge $10 more "booking fee" for each ticket on top of the tickets you directly purchase from alcatrazcruises.com?
If the answer is no, then it is a trap. Just admit it.
