Horrible customer service, confusing contact info/tel no, difficult cancellation process, ridiculous return charge

Just one example of their unscrupulous business practices:

I was told I would get and then was sent a transmitter as a ZERO DOWN LEASED item.

When I canceled, they required a fee of $35.00 for equipment inspection, testing, re-certification and minor refurbishing.

I was a previous customer of this Alarm Monitoring Services company. They are located in 852* ***th Ave.

N.E. Suite 222, Kirkland, WA 98033. I have NEVER experienced such a poor service in my life with alarm companies. They tried to make things so difficult for everything to get done.

Tech support is bad.

Office people are just unhelpful and rude. Forget about this company!!!

I experienced several robberies. The alarm monitoring company Alarm Connections, formerly AFA, Alarm Funding Assoc.

refuses to give me all of my alarm records without a subpoena and they will not give an address to direct the subpoena to. Customers need to be aware that if they need access to their customer records, they will not cooperate.

As best I can tell, their entire business model is based around making it more of a pain in the rear to cancel then to just conitnue.

I signed up for 1 year of prepaid. They assured me I could use my existing device. I couldn't. Had to pay more for their device, *AND* send them my existing device. In spite of delivery confirmation they lost it and charged me $99. Their device was would randomly beep loudly for no reason.

I finally gave up and unplugged it.

I assumed we'd be done when my prepaid was up, but nope, apparently I signed up to be their customer in blood and it's a HUGE fiasco to attempt to quit. In spite of my system not reporting in for months they continued to bill me. If they worked 1/10th as hard at supporting customers as they do at collecting money they'd be rock stars.

Their entire system requires you to go to many different URLs. Their customer support isn't empowered to do anything. To cancel you have to go to one website, fill out several pages and *THEN* call to get a cancellation code.

Additionally several communications from them come from unmonitored email addresses.

STAY AWAY FROM SCAMMERS. Alarmmonitoringservices.com is a fraudulent company.

We did a chargeback becuase they kept billing us after we cancelled their "service" and is...no service and they suck. They charged us 689.35 for a 29.95 chargeback because they added "fees". This company tries to threaten you with credit bureau reporting for bogus charges. They have a long history of fraud charges.

Just look around - they have done the same thing to many other different people.

It is illegal to charge "chargeback fees", and then they also charge "collections fees" - illegal again. HOW THE HECK CAN ANYONE CHARGE 689.35 FOR FRAUDULENT CHARGES STEMING FROM A 29.95 CHARGEBACK FOR FRAUDULENT CHARGING FROM ALARMMONITORINGSERVICES.COM.

This company is scam. After I signed online.

I wasn't confortable with the fact I had to install the equipment my self. Therefore, I called within 2 hours to cancel the service. To make it short I had to go though a painful cancellation process and they still disn't return my money. I received an email indicating that they will retain $100, a 25% fee of the equipment value.

It was never sent! Additionally they will retain the central station activation fee.

It was never activated! Just do not use their services.

This company is a scam. They told me they could use my equipment from Protect America so I signed up. I waited 3 months for them to activate my equipment and now they say they cannot use it and that I will not be issued a refund despite the fact that they provided no services to me.

What a company to deal with, Their company states no set up fee but do not let that fool you, there are fees for this and fees for that. When I started asking questions in regards to these fees that added up to over $100 ( $18.95 to ship one small equipment, $18.95 to ship another equipment -That I still do not understand what one of them is for as the initial associate did not mention two equipment during our initial conversation, another $35 here and another $35 there and so on and so forth.

When I questioned this, I was fast talked over the phone when I asked for a breakdown of all the fees that do not match the ad, the associate became angry. When I spoke with the boss , I believe from the corporate office, he was worse. if I may say was quite rude to say but the least. All I can say is, if it is too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

Save yourself the time, heartache and look elsewhere. Terrible customer service after receiving ones cr card number.

I can only imagine what would happen after the 30 days of free trial and one is locked in or how they would react when the alarm triggers. I will gladly look elsewhere.
