I have waited over 18 months for my home and still counting!!!!

I have waited over 18 months for my home. No one seems to answer the phone at AJ home center anymore, yet the bank still is charging me interest on a loan.

A loan that has shown 2 withdrawals so far. Months ago when they were still answering their phone calls, they were blaming it on the manufacturing line...after reading a handful of reviews I'm starting to think I should probably be contacting the Nevada Department of Better Business Bureau.

Their building burnt to the ground last night 6/18/2023. They nearly scammed me out of $25,000 , but I caught on to their game an filed a claim against them.

I told Josh to get off and stay off my property.

Then I told his partner at that time I either got all of my money back, or him and Josh would be in jail. I got it back in less than 12 hours.

Who was the other partner?

How did you get in contact with them? We are a construction company that was supposed to do work for one of their customers that they scammed. The customer is trying to find a way to get his money back from them.

Nevada Housing Division and Palm Harbor Corporate would be wisest point of contact. Start a subpoena and make them prove otherwise. Eventually they surely have to be shut down with all the fraudulent activity being reported over and over.

I bought a home from them

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a home from this place a while back. It took a while for me to get my new home, due to supply chain issues from the factory.

I was not sure weather to believe that the issue was from the factory, so I called the factory. I was told that the issue was 100% the factories issue and they were working through it. My new home showed up and the guys in their construction department did a great job getting it put together. I did not know what all it takes to get a home delivered to a site and put together.

WOW what a learning experience!

Jason was a lot of help explaining what all they have to do to get a home signed off by the state and the county. I will not need a home anytime soon, but I would send anyone that asks where to buy a home!

The home manufacturer does not have a contract with AJ clients. AJ homes does.

The home manufacturer works for AJ, AJ works (or pretends to) work for the home purchaser. The manufacturer will not give specific details concerning dates, or money to an AJ client. I called them numerous times. What I found is that they are vague and seemingly take the blame due to lack if details provided.

You (the home purchaser) did not have a contract with Palm Harbor, nor did you personally transfer any funds to them. All of that is done through AJ homes as the contractor, selling agent, “middle man”. Palm Harbor claimed to have my home on the list for build, but yet never had the funds forwarded from AJ home center. On the list, on the list, for a year.

But never technically ordered due to lack of funding. Had they ever informed me the funds weren't transferred instead of stating “on the build list” It would have saved me a-lot of waiting for no reason, stress, and in the end a failed construction loan

Former buyer review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The terrible reviews are very accurate. The owner takes money, doesnt have contracts in place, seldom answers his phone, drivers broken homes with no fixes done.

Constantly blames everything and everyone but himself, most excuses are lies. Him and his wife have terrible management style, mean personalities, and steals money to invest in their other losing adventures.

Definitely dont walk away, but rather RUN before you go bankrupt with him.

State of Nevada currently has a stop work order against him for no workmans comp, and I can guarantee my last dollar he still has a full staff working crew.

Agreed!!!! As a former customer myself, I had contracts in place.

Non the less they literally stole my money for other projects. They took my construction loan funds and produced anything. For a year. Continued to blame the home manufacturer Palm Harbor who never received the construction funds to build my home.

Scam!!! Absolute scammers

The Nevada Compliance Audit Investigator would find otherwise if they did an audit of your accounts. You have several lawsuits filed against you for this same home sales problems.

Doing further background on the owners and family, there are even more instances of company default schemes that span years in multiple states. But don’t worry, I know you will just comment back how it’s all false, and some how will be someone else’s fault. It’s your things you do based on your online replies. just the fact you have to give yourself 5 star reviews, under multiple aliases says a lot, let alone the attitude in your responses.

And if people pulled the DOT MC (378****) record of the trucks you own that will be hauling these homes, they will learn you’re out of compliance, including losing authority due to no insurance, let alone all the DOT out of service violations you’ve got on your public record. Why anyone would be willing to let you handle their money, let alone their home, is beyond me.

Where do you get this information? I have looked and tried to verify this and can not find that kind of information anywhere.

It is all public information. Trucks have the MC # on the side of them, you can look at the FMCSA safer website and see every moving violation on record, and it shows the current or in this companies case, the old insurance company.

Always call the insurance companies listed before using ANY contractor to make sure they have active and appropriate vehicle and load insurance.

Workman’s comp coverage status you can get from the state or contractors board. Again, all public information.

Yana Dga

This information is not true! There are laws that have to be followed for any money that is put down on a home.

Lots of state over site! The only thing that is not overseen is the way that anyone can put any reviews wither it is true or not.

This is completely untrue. I am not sure where you are getting your information, but none of this is correct.

To help future clients from being scammed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I worked for this company for 6 months, and in that time frame watched my customers follow their instructions. They are embossing as their own escrow dept.

as they have you write your check to order your home to AJ construction. The problem with that is they don't order your home, they spend your money for other construction projects.

I have witnessed Josh Carradine the owner put his 2 homes first, built and set prior to my customers home. My customer has spent 42 k on interest on his loan waiting for his home to be set.

The fact that Josh and Angie Carradine spend their days making up numerous fake online accounts to combat bad reviews with good ones, they in fact post theirselves, is deplorable business practices. Just do good work instead if lie to people it wouldn't be needed.

Spend your time working instead of stealing your clients money. Earn an honest living instead if scamming people. The former employee is absolutely correct. They do in fact act as their own title company taking loan funds then failing spectacularly on the build project.

These people ruin lives. Then lie about it.

Guest

You were let go because you were cought helping customers forge bank records to get a loan. Since then you have done nothing but lie about how business is run.

You have no idea what you are talking about and have not been around us in almost 3 years! You have no idea what you are talking about!

Guest

Many families wait an average of 3 years for a home from AJ homes. The “party line” is 6 months.

After contracts and documents are complete you are lucky to get someone to answer the phone 1 time in 10 calls. Then again the 6 months clock starts over. Delays for various reasons, Mann Mortgage, bad employees, bad subcontractors, the home manufacturer (Palm Harbor or Skyline), CoVid factory shut down, supply issues’, cash investors, someone was ill, the list is ridiculous. Every entity or person is to blame except Angie and Josh,” AJ Homes”.

many many many homes have been completed for cash. Angie and Josh also flip cash properties.

All the while mortgages are being paid by customers for empty lot(s). Very unscrupulous business practices.
