Good afternoon
I travelled with Air Mauritius on the 19,23, 31 August and 2nd September and for there is a few issues I had and I would like some feedback and to be compensated specially for the behavior of the steward on the flight from Mauritius to Malaysia.
On all the flights we received supper which was something that I wouldnt eat at home. I flew with Emirates June and July 2025 and I am confident that Air Mauritius can learn from them.
Mauritius is an Island with such nice foods and you have of the best cuisines in the world I would say.
We arrived in Mauritius in the morning.
They served us supper (which I couldnt consume and not only me lot of the passengers did not eat the food) No breakfast was served, they didnt offer us a hand towel to wipe our faces.
The same food was served on all the flights and when I asked the Steward if he can give me biscuits and cheese he just said if you dont want to eat the food, you can leave it.
The steward was also very condescending and I told my buddy this needs to be reported. They need to realize this is their job they are not doing us a favor by being friendly and treating passengers with respect.
Here is just another eg the steward on the flight to Malaysia served me my good and the bread fell on the floor, I said im sorry.
He gave me a look and just walked away. He didnt even offer to pick up the bread.
This is my second time im travelling with Air Mauritius and I have to admit that I am extremely disappointed in the food that is served to Human beings and the service I got on my journey.

Madame, Monsieur,
Je vous écris pour formuler une demande de remboursement partiel concernant les billets aller-retour MRU-KL-SIN achetés pour un montant total de 120 000 MUR, en raison de plusieurs désagréments rencontrés lors de ces vols.
Vol MK646 du 23 décembre 2024
Le vol MK646 a été particulièrement décevant sur plusieurs points :Lappareil utilisé était très ancien, avec des sièges dont la mousse usée rendait le voyage inconfortable.Le service à bord, assuré en grande partie par des aspirants stewards, manquait de professionnalisme et de coordination. Les membres déquipage expérimentés semblaient dépassés et peu impliqués, probablement en raison de contraintes liées au manque de moyens.Lexpérience globale nétait pas à la hauteur des standards attendus pour un vol international, surtout au vu du prix payé.
Vol retour du 31 décembre 2024
Bien que lappareil et le service à bord aient été corrects sur le vol retour, la qualité des repas proposés était extrêmement décevante.
Les prestations culinaires, inadaptées pour un vol long-courrier, nont fait que confirmer un manque dattention porté au confort et à la satisfaction des passagers.
Demande de remboursement partiel
Compte tenu de ces désagréments, je demande un remboursement partiel sur le montant total payé, représentant un geste commercial pour le service inadéquat offert lors de ce voyage.
Je reste à votre disposition pour tout complément dinformation et espère recevoir une réponse favorable dans les plus brefs délais. Dans le cas contraire, je me verrai dans lobligation denvisager des recours auprès des autorités compétentes ou des organismes de défense des consommateurs.

Taken 3 suitcases instead of 4.We paid for 92kg in total (4 x 23kg) and we had less than that but because we have used over 23kg per suitcase we got charged. It doesnot make sense because using less suitcase and less weight is better for space in the plane and we are more less than the actual total weight! Really pissed off!

I bought an open ticket for my grandmother. Due to health reasons, she couldn't travel and we had called the company about the issue and asked for a refund.
It has been now more than a year and a refund was never processed. Now she is able to travel, I have to dig up the money for her ticket since this is still unresolved and no money has been received or processed.
They do not have an international/worldwide number and you spend hours on the phone while they get to the correct department and still there is no answer on their end. Numerous emails have been sent and got nowhere!

Air Mauritius never replies
The next day, I came to the airport and the flight got cancelled again. Staff said that I would be refunded for the taxi fees both ways. Now, it's May (five months later) and I still have not received my money, Rs 4000.00 as promised by the staff. If you can't do something, why do you promise?
Since January 2024, I've been trying to contact Air Mauritius, but I never receive any reply. Is this considered good customer service? No, definitely not. This is called disgusting service.
When I call Air Mauritius, they put me on hold for so long and disconnect the phone without any response. They do not even call back. But if it was a question of getting money from us, they would have definitely called back and this has happened before. They called me back for adding extra paying services to my flight.

I tried to contact Air Mauritius several times regarding my refund for a flight cancellation but they never replied to any of my emails and never answered the call. Very bad customer service.
I am still trying to get my money back but air mauritius ignores my calls.

No reply to my emails + your phone numbers not working
My flight from Kuala Lumpur on June 11th, MRU 670 was delayed a day, causing immense stress and no sleep for nearly 2 days ( I was travelling from New Zealand).
I have had no reply from customer service to all my emails except the first one. I have asked for the Head of your customer service department to telephone me on WhatsApp without response
( +64 2* ******* ).
Instead of of filing a claim for compensation, I would like an upgrade to business class for my return night flight on July 1st., which would cost your airline nothing?

I was supposed to travel from Mauritius to Perth on 12/01/24.
I turned up at airport and at airport the flight got cancelled, I have to go back. Air Mauritius did not otganised any accomodation for me, I had to do it myself.
Staff also mentioned that my two way taxi trip will be refunded.
They told me to send receipts, I did send.
When I call Air Mauritius, they put me on hold and the phone gets disconnected. After several emails and attempts to call Air Mauritius, They never call back and never reply.
Such a disgustine customer service.
More than 5 months now, I still have not received my refund and no replies from them.

I am booked on Air Mauritius MK441from Perth to Mauritius on 13 March 2024. I will stay over in Mauritius accordingly for night of 13 March 2024.
I am booked on MK851 14 March to Johannesburg. Will it be possible to extend my return flight to Johannesburg with a few days as i would like to spend more time and money, in Mauritius.
Flight cancellation and compensation
Hello, I was supposed to be on flight MK852 from Johannesburg to Mauritius on 03.10.23. I boarded a flight from Cape Town and got a plane ticket to Mauritius and to my surprise I found out at the airport when we landed that the flight was cancelled.
We are still waiting at the airport, over 5 hours from the moment we landed from Cape Town to receive explanations. My husband and I are supposed to come to Mauritius to celebrate our wedding and the canceled flight caused us to lose a lot of money that we paid for hotels and possible celebrations. Beyond the fact that we lose two days of the trip. The airline's policy says that if the flight is delayed for more than 3 hours, we should receive a financial incentive.
The flight was delayed for 31 hours!!
And we have to sleep in Johannesburg which is an unpleasant city to stay in instead of sleeping in a resort following our wedding. I would like to receive financial compensation for the delayed flight and a refund for the hotels I paid and I will not be able to stay in them in Mauritius.
