I can relate to your angst! Friday night found out through aeroplan that our departure date had changed by 3 days.

No mention of hotel changes. Spent 3 hours on hold to be told to have TA contact their support. TA said our booking hadn't changed but spent 2 1/2 hrs on hold to be disconnected and then the rest of the day on hold to be disconnected at ACV's end of day! She and others in her office have been trying for 2 days to get hold of the 'support' department to find out what's going on.

I did find out that the original flight has been cancelled and was advised that they would send my TA my options sometime in the next 2 weeks 'hopefully'. Why our government keeps bailing out this company that can't and haven't provided reasonable customer service is beyond me.

Air Canada Vacations Package Review from Barrie, Ontario

I booked my group back in November for my wedding this May 2016. I got word a week or two ago now that Air Canada cancelled the flight to get me to my wedding destination. They offered a different day which my hotel was going to cancel my wedding date because I wasnt going to make it to the mandatory dates I needed to be at the resort for. My invites were already sent off!!! My guests were already booking with other flights basing it around my wedding date. I had to completely cancel with Air Canada and find a completely different date earlier to make it to my own wedding!!!! What a disaster. Do not trust your group bookings especially for your wedding with this company. Its so far in advance and seats already reserved why would you cancel!!! I am less than 4 months out until my wedding now and they cancelled my flight!!!! Never ever again!!!!!

Resolved: Air Canada Vacations sub standard hotel and ground transportation

First, the good. Flights both ways (went to London, England) were good. Now the bad: I accept that I chose the cheapest hotel offering in their packages. However, it turned out that the so called "hotel" was just a hostel, and a poor one. Our bathroom had no toilet paper, we did not receive towels every day, the room had a bed pushed up against one wall, only sheets and a thin dirty looking comforter, hot water only in the morning, dirty floresent strip light on the ceiling and no other light, garbage from previous occupants was in the dresser drawer, no chair to sit on (there wasn't room for one), the included breakfast was very poor. We pre-paid for ground transportation to and from the "hotel". The trip in was fine. The return trip a problem: the pick up company was over an hour late, the driver drove down the wrong side of the road past two police cars, who gave chase and pulled us over. The driver talked his way out of a ticket, but we were subjected to police scrutiny before proceding to the airport. I reported all this to Air Canada Vacations. They contacted the transfer company who completely lied about what happened, and it appears Air Canada belives them and not us! As for the so called hotel, Air Canada denies any respnsibility, has noted our concerns, and offered a $150 credit each (there were two of us) towards a future trip. I do not want a credit,except for a refund of half of the ground transportation. I want Air Canada Vacations to appologise for offering sub-standard accommodations, and to stop listing this facility for future customers.
