I purchased a Savaria K2 Easy Climber stairlift 2yrs ago, one of the selling points was the lifetime warranty. I have been calling several phone numbers and left messages with no response from anyone. I purchased the stair lift from Aging in the Home remodelers, but can not get response from.

$24,000 prepaid for an elevator and then nothing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We signed up for an Easy Climber elevator in April 2018, paying an initial $12,000 deposit We had some health matters to attend to in 2018 and let the company know we would be getting into the install process in early 2019 In January 2019 we let the elevator team know that we would be starting the install process in early 2019 and paid another $12,000 deposit towards the $35,495 total cost to get that process under way. We then began working with Alix and Lauren, elevator production coordinators who assured us we would be placed in the installation queue and the contractors would get the elevator installed as soon as possible. From that point in late January until the week of May 1 2019 we have been told repeatedly that the contractors were busy in California, Arizona and Texas but would be made available to us as soon as possible. Alix told us there were some permitting issues and code matters that were slowing the scheduling process down At the last minute we got a call that a contractor would be available April 10 That would have been fine had it not been for the fact that we told the coordinators 3 times that we would be out of town during that week and April 10 was not possible. When we returned I began emailing Alix and Lauren repeatedly to let them know we wanted to restart the scheduling process. In the last week I called the company at least 20-25 times and send several emails to the company What is really worrying and disturbing is that there is no way to actually reach someone. All calls either go to a voice mail or the call goes to an automatic disconnect after 5 minutes. There are 6 branches to their phone tree and none has a live person to take the call, It tells me that even a simple conversation with a scheduler or someone who can speak for the company is either hiding behind their phone system or simply does not bother to return calls We are hopeful that we can work out these problems but right now we are worried that we have been sold a bill of goods by this company and are in danger of losing our entire $24,000 Craig and Cindy F

ONE YEAR LATER AND $24,000 DEPOSIT ON ELEVATOR WE HAVE NOTHING

We signed up for an elevator installation in April 2018, paying a deposit of $12,000 on total price of $36,000. We paid the second installment $12,000 in January 2019 and asked that the production team get a elevator installation contractor out to our home as soon and possible Since then we have received nothing but excuses such as they don't have a contractor in our area or the contractor is in California or Arizona and why they cannot get a contractor to our home in Reno. In the last week I have emailed Alix and Lauren several times and called the office and their extension several times and no received any call backs I've never seen a company that does not have at least one or two people to handle incoming calls Not only is this very frustrating, we prepaid $24,000 on good faith that Aging would perform. By all apearances they have no interest or intention in performing their part of the contract now that they have our money I've done some research on contractor licensing for home elevator installation. There are strict licensing requirements. It's my belief that Aging is unable to get a contractor who is adequately licensed to install our elevator which is making it difficult to impossible for them to perform their part of the contract. Elevator quit working and can't get it fixed

When i signed the contract to purchase the Easy climber elevator, i was told it would take three days to install. They started the installation in October of 2017. They did not finish the installation until May 2018. It is now April 2019 and during that time since May 2018 the elevator has completely quit working twice. The first time it took three weeks to get someone to get the elevator working. The elevator quit again, and I have been trying for a month to get the elevator fixed. I get a lot of promises and excuses, but no help in getting the elevator working.

DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They are con artists!! First they tried to tell me because they had to move my plumbing that they had to do a custom shower. Then the boss called and told him he had to add a $1000 increase to the contract after I already signed the contract and I only signed it because they guaranteed me 3-4 wks for installation. Then the sales rep called me and told me the custom shower (which was $2000.00 less than the standard shower) was going to take 6-8 wks and he knew I wouldn't go for that so to go to the standard shower which was more, but they could get that done in the 3-4 wks. Well they took my deposit and when I started questioning them almost 4 wks later about when the installation was going to be they told me it was 6-8 wks so it would be another 3-4 wks. Remind you my signed contract say 3-4wks. So now I am stuck!! In addition the reason I wanted this shower quickly was so my mother would be able to shower, so now she hasn't been able to shower for almost 4wks and now it will be another 3-4 before she will be able to get one!! When I contacted the sales rep all he could say was " I'm Sorry. I did not mean any harm. I'm trying to do my best" BEST?? for who your pocketbook!! Maybe they should not be taking advantage of SENIOR CITIZENS!! 6-8WKS I COULD HAVE BUILT THIS SHOWER MYSELF FOR 1/2 THE PRICE!! WORST OF ALL THE PEOPLE THEY ARE USUALLY DEALING WITH ARE SENIORS AND THEY ARE TOTALLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEM. CONNING THEM ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!!!

SHADIEST COMPANY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Watch out for this company. They scammed my grandma and now they are taking her money. She agreed to a free stairlift quote that they said would be no obligation. Then some tough guy went to her home and pressured her into signing up for a $45,000 elevator! She is 90 years old and they did this without any of her family around. Sneaky CROOKS! I tried to cancel just days later and they are threatening to keep her down payment of $5000 plus charge her a restocking fee! I pleaded with them and then finally we agreed to keep it because we didn't want to loose $10,000 and it turns out, they can't even install it for 3 months because they aren't licensed in her state! This company has terrible business practices and are taking advantage of the elderly. I can't believe they are still in business.

Piece of junk

An Easy Climber was Installed on our stairs. My wife is mostly bed ridden up stairs and I am recovering from a broken neck and back and knee problem. I have to go up and down the stairs to care for my wife. The installer left a bag containing three books, a business card and a *** A few days latter, the chair started acting up. You had to swivel the chair back a forth to the forward position to get the motor to engage. Then, it progressed to where you had to level it for an hour or two before the lights would come back on. If we did not swivel at the top, it didn't give as much trouble. All we got was guff regarding this problem. The chair finally stopped at the top and would not go back down. The lights indict a obstruction, none is there. neither call control works. The charger pilot light is on. The wires attaching the power supply to the climber are solid. We were told they had 72 hours to respond. Then it was more days, the latest 14 days. The website on the card docent exist. The office address is closed, for lease, it is doubtful that the name on to card was the installer. He has a business in Texas. Everybody is out of state at phony addresses and have no interest in our well-being.

Equipment began to fail days after installation and when it quit, all we have gotten is lies for going on two weeks.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife has many painful health problems. I am recovering from a broken neck. My wife ordered an "Easy Climber" from information on line. When the equipment was installed, the installer gave us a business card. Days later we started having problems. The local number on the business card went to voice mail with no return call. The email on the card does not exist. The out of state phone number answered, but all we got was a lot of guff. The chair quit. After over a week, we are still getting lies about when someone will be here to fix it. The only person matching the description on the business car is not an installer and lives in Texas. The Business address on the card is in Lakewood, Colorado. That office is currently for lease. The actual business is in Virginia. It is no wonder they keep feeding us bull. Who knows who they really are or where.

I would not recommend buying a Stair Lift at all. Paid $20 K and it creaks and groans and makes all kinds of noise.

Installer came back out and nothing he could do. I have had it for 9 months and it quit working midway up stairs. Called them and they said buy new batteries first. Batteries gone in 9 months???

No one has them in stock so have to wait 10 days for delivery.

I didn't buy this for show and tell. *** poor service and quality.

I'm glad I looked them up on Guild Quality where they have over a thousand great reviews from happy customers. They also have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau so I was confident to move forward with them. I liked the salesman and enjoyed the installation guys. They took their time showing me how to operate the elevator and it was really easy to learn. It looks amazing and works exactly as described. Overall, I'm very pleased and I would confidently recommend Aging in the Home Remodelers to my friends, family and neighbors. https://www.guildquality.com/AgingInTheHomeRemodelers https://www.bbb.org/richmond/business-reviews/bathroom-remodeling-walk-in-tubs/aging-in-the-home-remodelers-in-s-chesterfld-va-6340****

I can not concur

I do not know about the complaints. I have not had any problems. Almost all these companies routinely use sub-contractors. Mine were excellent. Nothing is 100%. You are always going to have a problem sometime. Many times it is how you approach the company. I have not had issues. The shower was installed with meticulous work. The installers spent over an hour with me going over the installation and making sure i could use the shower. They invited me to take pictures all throughout the day. It has worked fine with no leaks. Check out the details. The parts looked bulletproof. I can say this because I inspected them before installation. Even the shower curtain was of exceptional construction. You can check out my five star eval on the site. I am not getting paid or comped in any way for this eval.

Expert Installers

I want to compliment the installers of my new Easy Climber stairlift. I had been working with the AmeriGlide company for four months and finally having their factory rebuilt stairlift removed and hauled to the junk yard. Yesterday Dan and Bobbie arrived with my new chair from Easy Climber. Their skill and knowledge had my new chair installed and working perfectly in just a few hours, They were nice enough to call me today and see how the chair was operating. My only problem was the weather caused me to be rescheduled twice.

Easy Climber FirstSTREET horrible service $700 trip charge

I bought an easy climber stair lift for my disabled wife. The lift came with a lifetime warranty on parts. Batteries are not included in that lifetime warranty. The company is now asking me for $700 plus the cost of batteries to come out and change the two batteries in my wife's lift. In addition it takes for ever to get them to come out for service. They have local installers, but not a service team. I have also come to find out Easy Climber is not a brand. It's a private label FirstSTREET uses to market lifts.

I bought my 2 replacement batteries for cheap at Radio Shack and replaced them in less than 15 minutes.

I bought my own replacement batteries at my local auto parts store. Pretty simple to change them out yourself. Didn't cost that much at all.
