No issues with adventure life

I booked with these guys after they were referre to me by my brother. I do not know who wrote the other post, but I had a fine time with this company. No complaints. Got the service I expected. On a side note, what is the deal with this website -- it is loaded with trash. Sure, maybe there are some legit complaints, but who find them between at the racists, sexist and flat out ranting harassing comments. How is this helpful to consumers? Hey, I get pissed, but not crazy ... There has got to be a better reference for consumers out there. Man, I hope so.

This site is great , people need to know even the slighest thing that could be wrong . Im just a hippie on a bicycle but I have to give my two cents too.

Avoid at all cost Adventure Life Journeys to Costa Rica

We took Adventure Life Journeys tour to Costa Rica.Some of the hotels were a disaster, transportation broke down, they gave us the wrong information about tours and the people representing Adventure Life Journeys in Costa Rica did not care about our problems. When you go on a tour you want to make sure the tour operator organizes accomodations for you that are clean and in safe locations. Adventure Life Journeys believes it's a "cultural experience" to be in stinky dingy hotels located in areas that are not safe to walk at night. My son and I were stuck in our room watching TV from 5pm and on because we were too afraid to venture outside our room. There was a large student group staying in our hotel who were drinking and partying in hallways all night. AtI was finally able to fall asleep at 4am but had to be up at 7am for a tour. Our meals at this hotel were included. The food was mushy and watery at times we could not identify what we were eating. Some of the plates had dried food particles on them as though they were not washed properly. After a couple of meals I gave up on their food and ate biscuits and fruit for the rest of stay.

I have done 4 trips with Adventure Life between 2004 and 2009 and all were absolutely incredible. I am surprised to see negative feedback.

Adventure Life Journeys has a bad reputation. I too took a tour with them.

I regretted it.

The staff was poorly informed and managed, if not incompetent. Scary.

Adventure Life Journeys is poorly run and managed by a college kid from Montana with no experience in travel or tourism. Be very careful.

I took a tour with Adventure Life and it was overpriced, poorly coordinated, and sloppily done. A real waste of money.

Travel can be an adventure, but the old addage is true that you take yourself with you. It appears that this "pissed off" traveler was not prepared to experience Costa Rica and really should have stayed home and watched TV instead of going to Costa Rica to watch TV. This is not the fault of the operator at all, but a result of childish and cowardly behavior on the part of the travelers.

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our services -- and while I respect that you choose not to recommend our company to others, I'm really hoping to have the chance to talk with you more about your comments. Let's face it, travel is not perfect.

There are occasional bumps in our tours, and we recognize and take responsibility for our mistakes, then do our best to find a resolution. Please give us a chance to talk with you about your experiences.

Only if i'd read your review before we booked with ALJ...

Listen to what he has to say, STAY FAR AWAY!

We and other travelers on our journey ended up with plenty of mistakes on their itinerary, and absolutely no reliable point of contacts while we were in costa rica. There was no point in booking with ALJ other than adding mistakes, headaches, worry and disappointment to our trip.

The lowdown is they are a crackpot company started by some vagabond college kid with a revolving door employee base of friends with absolutely no sense of responsibility of running a company, no less arranging and coordinating your safe international travels. The end result of booking with them is a disorganized, miscommunicated, and misguided trip that you realize while you're there, you would have been much better off either booking everything on your own so you could find better accommodations by simple internet research, or, hiring a reputable company.. Although, I don't know who that reputable company would be.

Save your money and more importantly, your valuable vacation time.

Go to *** Adventure Life for screwing up my and other peoples' trips!
