Want a refund on our Cabana

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a cabana for over $250. I was told it would have a 24 hr food and beverage mobile service.

I have had cabanas for a lot less, and they include towels, a server, and it is a pleasant experience. That's why you pay for it. We got there, and not only did it not have towels, I was told we couldn't even order from the cabana. We had to stand in line and order food.

We waited in line and then over 30 minutes for them to cook chicken tenders. It was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Two of the restaurants weren't even open. The food truck was closed.

I want my money back; I'm not paying $260 for some waters. We didn't bother with drinks.

They were $14 for a beer. Horrible, horrible experience.

You only deserve a refund if you refused the cabana after finding out about the lack of mobile food ordering and the other issues. If you used it for the day you are out of luck.

Racial Profiled and Harassed by Security

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Saturday 3/29/2025 I visited Adventure Island Tampa. I was harassed, discriminated against, and falsely accused of something I didn't do by security officers Jody and Tivy.

Officer Tivy blatantly lied to Officer Jody, for him to rudely and disrespectfully eject me after I was already leaving. After TPD and multiple guests confirmed that what I was being accused of was false, they proceeded to trespass me for no reason. If he is head of security, he needs to be retrained. To be trespassed for smoking a cigarette in the wrong place when there wasn't proper signage stating where you could smoke, multiple guests attesting to the claims being false, as well as the police officer verifying there's no evidence or proof of what took place is disheartening.

I wasn't able to speak to anyone, and as we were already being escorted out of the park, Officer Tivy antagonized and harassed my children to entice a reaction after she blatantly lied in the first place. It gives off the view that security can falsely accuse and harass people just because they wear a blue shirt and don't like someone's skin color.

If rules are going to be enforced, they need to be enforced for all, and proper signage should be posted. It's alarming, disheartening, and very scary that the security can blatantly lie and get to use local law enforcement, when even the police officers know that the security officers were lying.

I agree that people who make claims of profiling need to be sued. Only then will they stop being so foolish.

These two need to sue and win tons of money to set an example for the OP's children. IF the parents lose the money, then they would have to explain to the children that if you make false claims, then you have to pay the consequences. Hopefully, they lose their house and inconvenience the children because of their false claim.

Then again, they will probably claim the lawyer of the park and the judge are profiling them. It never ends.

Their smoking policy is on their website and posted elsewhere. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.

These areas are easily recognized due to the presence of smoking urns and large signs that state "Designated Smoking Area". They are also indicated on the park maps. It tells you on the website that smoking in non-designated areas may cause you to be removed from the park. Nothing in your complaint indicated any evidence or proof that anyone had a "problem with your skin color".

Tampa Bay is a culturally diverse city and POC make up the majority when it comes to demographics. Your allegations against these two individuals that you have publicly called out are serious ones.

Very serious. If I were them, I would be speaking to an attorney to see what my legal rights are in regards to a civil suit.

Agree. What OP fails to understand is that he violated park policy by smoking.

End of story. That leads to expulsion.

Everything else that happened AFTER may even be valid, but that is a separate issue for another day. It doesn’t negate his original action/violation.

No one is annoyed by your experience. They are annoyed that you are claiming profiling without any proof.

That you are teaching your children to do the same. There were no white people smoking. If there were you would have posted that in the original complaint to make your point stronger.

You just made that up at the last minute to make it seem like you were profiled. GROW UP.

Yeah right, the three white people who were not confronted are all in your head because you want it to seem like you were profiled. You are LYING.

If this were true, you would have posted that in the original review, rather than make it up because you were caught lying. Face it you are ASHAMED that you do not have white skin.

You are ASHAMED of your skin color. I feel bad for your kids having a role model like you.

Chao i sat in the smoking section and was accused of smoking marijuana @11 am, Officer Jody proceeded to call tpd then and the officer found no probable cause so Jody and Tivy had a point to prove. This exchange was on the body cameras of the officers, but due to " park policy" they were able to lie one me. When the accusation was first made their were THREE OTHER WHITE PEOPLE in the section but i was the only warned and harassed throughout the park.

I don’t need sympathy, the video on the Police officer’s body cam proved what was being said was in accurate and false. So go ahead with your opinion like an anus everyone has one .

Chao Pne

I doubt that it is racial profiling. If anyone is profiling you are.

You would not make this claim if they were the same background as you are. Face it you are ASHAMED of what you are. The fact that you have children and are teaching them to claim "racially profiling" without proof is disturbing.

This means when they grow up, they will do the same thing. If you did not claim profiling, people would have more sympathy for you.

Chao Pne

I agree, black, white, Hispanic, Indian, est, if you break the rules, you are kicked out of the park. If the policy stated that there are certain rules and consequences based on racial background,d then that is discrimination.

Since the "no smoking in this area, as well as the consequences applies to EVERYONE and not a particular group, they cannot claim profiling. It is a shame that they have children.

They are teaching their kids that they can break the rules. If they get caught, they can always claim racial profiling.

security footage and the body cam corroborated my story boo have a good one lol you mad mad huh

I am not.

Chao Pne

Look kiddo, the same policy applies to EVERYONE not just to non whites. So you were NOT racially profiled.

I know what you are going to do next. You are going to LIE and change your story to claim that THREE WHITE PEOPLE were doing the same. But we all know that this is all a lie to make your case of racial profiling stand out.

If this were true, you would have said this on the original complaint to prove your false theory. Face it you are ASHAMED of being black, or brown or whatever color you are.
