Beware of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Las Vegas, NV because they over-book patients, then under-serve, and over-bill. They claimed a service is one price, then bill 3x the amount and threaten to send to collections if you don't pay their arbitrarily inflated price.

Piece of *** office where no one does their job or returns phone calls
- Foot and knee injury in mid-Sep; MRI delayed after AO didn’t file.
- MRI order listed Achilles tendon, though I didn’t injure it; discharged due to Tricare.
Would rate it a 0 if I could. Hurt my foot & knee in mid Sep. Just now getting the MRI since Advanced Orthopedics never put in for an emergency MRI. Now come to find out, I never needed and authorization to begin with. Advanced Orthopedics gave me the wrong information. Jen put in for an MRI with the base when I told her I don't get my care at the base. This delayed things even further.
My experience with Drs. Tim Trainor & Kurvella was not favorable. Both spent a whole 5 min w/ me ea time. Apparently, if I'm not doing surgery, they don't feel they are getting money out of you, so that equates to a short office visit & no one returning your calls. Crystal doesn't ever return phone calls...EVER. Mario, the office manager, doesn't give a *** either. OH, *huh sigh* let me open your chart one more time *SIGH* AND the grand prize of it all... Just found out AO discharged me as a patient. Why? Because of my insurance Tricare. AO said it is too much effort to get authorizations & deal with my insurance. Is this the way we treat military & vets? I am outraged esp. when I'm still trying to get the MRI order changed for the correct body part. AO put in an MRI for the Achilles tendon on the order when I never hurt my Achilles tendon!
You'll be happy at this place if you like being made to feel like a number, no one returns your phone calls, you're given an attitude when inquiring about an issue & you love a 2-5 min office visit that you just got done waiting 2 hrs for. If you hate all of that & demand to be respected as a patient, you are better off finding another orthopedic doctor where $$ isn't the bottom line.
