Advanced Fuel Oil

On returning from holiday I received an invoice, but there was no delivery note, and my house/tank is very difficult to find. I rang and queried this.

I was promised that proof of delivery (pictures taken by the driver et al), and there would be a query put on my account. This situation has now been going on for 6 weeks. Every Monday I recontact them by phone or email. Every time they say they will contact me back.

Meanwhile I have now received the final demand notice. I did receive a message on my phone 6 days ago to which I replied and left a message but again nothing from the company.

ADVANCED FUEL A Great place to buy fuel oil,get equipment installed and service whether its oil or air conditioning.I have been a customer for 16 yrs and have never dealt with a more professional,polite curteous group of people,hard to come by these days!.I have been a resident of the greater poughkeepsie area for over 40 yrs.I have dealt with several other companies in the area and they have not even come close.I am the type of customer that actually pays their bills,not like some of the other people who will write complaints just because something wasnt "free".You get what you pay for in this world and although ADVANCED is not the cheapest,their service has gone beyond my expectations.

Have maintenance agreement covering all work and labor. No hot water so serviceman replaced motor-found fuse also blown.

Didn't have spare fuse so went to local Home Depot 2 miles away and purchased for $13. Informed me that fuse was not included in contract but never told installation of it was not included since they were already here replacing the motor, which was done AFTER installation of fuse so they weren't held up at all. Took no more than 25-30 seconds. Rec'd bill for $125 service fee for replacing $13 fuse when serviceman already here working.

Never advised of this or I would have installed fuse myself! Owner a piece-of-work - refused to work with us or Atty General. Heat USA, the contract holder, was no help but informed me that owner was "crazy." Taking us to collections! DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Cancelled contract. Oh, also sent 2 servicemen, one in training, and had the nerve to charge us an additional $69 service fee for 2nd man! When I questioned it, they removed that charge and said that it was a courtesy on their part!

DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD FOR ANYTHING! Get it all in writing.
