Resolved: Scammed

Updated by user Mar 12, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Right after I signed up for their premium subscription my credit card was hacked and a $1500.

IPhone was purchased and picked up in person at a local Apple store. Apple refunded my account and Adopt=A-Pet refunded my $10.

subscription fee. I did have to get a new credit card

Original review Feb 10, 2024
Hours after I signed up for the extra $10. premium to be notified first, my Credit Card was hacked for $1500. I had to change C.C. and asked for my $10. back. It was a nightmare going thru it.

This platform performed no services and I still have not heard back abt my refund. The phone number is disconnected so there is no way of speaking to any one on the matter. If I could have given no stars I would have.

Problem with a foster and her dishonesty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I just had a horrible experience with one of your fosters. I'd made an arrangement with her to go and get my kitten an hour and a half away. I guess l had asked her too many questions to be a responsible pet owner. Everything is prepared for him I asked for pictures and she sent me a YouTube video where he looked very peaked, and sickly or an adult cat was all around him and too close for his comfort since he had just been neutered yesterday. I am in my early 60s and have had cats all my life and I know you definitely need to keep the kitten, more isolated and comfortable after surgery not around with all different cats to be bothered. I can provide you with all the texts and emails that we did back-and-forth and I followed suit with most respect and appreciation to her. I even offered to put a deposit down, but she said not to worry he is yours. I am devastated because she is now claiming that the people who took his sister or coming to get him. This is very unprofessional and it is not right to play with peoples emotions in such a way.

User's recommendation: Be careful. These foster homes are not what they are claiming to be. There was a YouTube video that was sent to me. That made me question. The kitten’s wellbeing and it was not liked by the foster.

I believe them to be a scam for your credit card information

I first seen on this site that it was for free that you can list your dog for free but they also gave me advice on listing your dog for a price needless to say they told you that what you asked for for your dog is to ensure that you find a good family for it and it's the people are ones that want your dog and not for inhuman reasons but they do not tell you that they will charge you a fee so basically they are not for free I think they are scammers they are trying to get your credit card number I will not personally give out my credit card number or anything else to people that say they are for free and then want to charge you because those people are not being truthful at All by listing care services for free and then charging you a fee that is dishonest and untrustworthy I give this place a rating of zero there are no help to me and there's no use to me and I would never ever recommend their services to anyone you probably won't even be able to adopt your dog out to somebody else because they don't really care they just want your money but please keep in mind this is my personal opinion I did not finish my enrollment of my dog to be put up for adoption because of them wanting to charge me and wanting my credit card number like I said this is my personal opinion I did not finish their stuff and would not give them any more information for afraid that it would be used in the wrong manner keep in mind like I said this is my personal review and personal thoughts I could be wrong but I don't believe so

It has been three times and hope this especially for Adopt which adopts cat and trade during game. one day he tried to trade pet with someone and he agreed to trade it but suddenly he took my son's all pets and disappeared. we reported him as frauder. however since my son lost his pets which he collected for three years, he is really in sad mood and cried everyday for over a week so I can not watch him any more So I would like to know if there is any way you can trace the fruaduer ( we know his ID) and get my son's pet back or can you give my son's pet back as reward something ? if you need to know about the list of pet my son lost, we can give you the list pls find anyway to compensate his loss for the pet

When you call per customer service and all they do is provide the emails that you already have access to. I dont understand when you apply or adopt a dog and then you get a link saying to pay when you had originally asked questions but I havent still re-seed a response.

Adopt A Pet - Payment Method Review from Anchorage, Alaska

My daughter is a mother of two and wanted to give her children a puppy for Christmas this year and she saw an add on Adopt a pet and got hold of the person and they explained she just needed to get a money gram from Walmart and they would get the puppy to us! So she did that and sad so excited them they text her and want insurance for the pet of 1200 so I said well we can use my visa and that way were protected. Well sent that info and the text back saying it has to be a money gram. Can you believe somebody can do this to children at Chrismas! I want to get this guy!
