I was never paid. It is now October 20th 2022, and Addus homecare never paid me for my sick pay when I had covid-19. I was told that I would be paid for the 10 days that I was out sick, but was never paid.
Hello, this is Travis Ryan. I'm writing again in regards to my covid-19 pay.
I was told that I would be receiving pay for the 10 days that I was sick with covid-19.
I was told that the money for the covid pay from August was used up and I would have to wait until September 15th. Well I am now officially homeless and living on the street in Hillsboro. I really need that money guys. The only money I've gotten from Addus deposited into my bank account in the last few weeks is my regular paycheck from the hours that I worked last pay period, which was only like $190.00.
But still no covid pay.
I'm still waiting on that.
I hope I'm not being screwed out of my covid pay.
It's now September 19th, and I have not seen anything.
This is ridiculous.
I was told that the covid pay was usually sent out on the 15th. I've gotten absolutely nothing.
Any idea when I will be receiving that?
Will it be a paper check mailed?
Or deposited to my account?

Addus Healthcare. Wheaton, IL. SUCK!

- - Caregivers arrive late or do not show, leaving the client without care.
I have worked privately for a family as a caregiver in the evenings, and some days, for about three years now. They use this agency, Addus in Wheaton, IL, during the daytime on weekdays.
From what I have seen and heard from this family, they are TERRIBLE! If anything varies from the norm, (regular caregiver calls off or recently has had surgery) they won’t return the family’s calls for a replacement. They even told the gentleman’s wife they didn’t have time to deal with them! Are you kidding me?
This family has used this agency over the last four years and this is how they get treated? One caregiver showed up over an hour late!! A few times they have told them someone will come and no one shows! Luckily, they ask me to go over to show these people what to do and I end up staying, otherwise this poor man would end up staying in bed, alone, no ability to use the restroom, no food, etc ALL DAY!
This is the most unprofessional, nastiest treatment I’ve ever seen!! Now, they’re telling them that their caregivers cannot use a gait belt. What exactly do they do as a healthcare agency? They have the last four years AND two of their caregivers that I’ve personally asked about this so-called policy have stated they know nothing about it.
️ IMHO, they shouldn’t be in business to treat their clients like dirt!
After all, their clients are the reason they even have jobs to begin with! Sad!

I have worked for Addus out of Peoria. They didn't like paying overtime either. me or mileage either.
