My car broke down at wincos, and I didn't know who to call so I googled mechanic with towing and Mike was first on the list. Not only did he do an excellent job, but he's an honest man, and very nice. Thanks Mike.
User's recommendation: Go to Mike first. You won't be disappointed.

I phoned this unscrupulous company only to be told that I had broken or somehow ruined his work. Instead of coming out to look at the botched job he had done; he threatened to come out for an outrageous sum just to blame his malfeasance on me and out a boot on my car to until I paid him for coming out.
He advertises “mobile”.
Clearly, another proof of malfeasance. And you can’t speak to a dead agent who is listed as a CEO, his son has passed away some time ago.
However, pursuant to our telephone converse today he would charge me $75 to come look at his problematic job, then place a boot on my car until I paid him for his double dealing erroneous job, as clearly and repeatedly Mike kept insisting that I had done something to his work. He also blamed me for the oil that was spilled all over the place and told me that the left front wheel well was falling off because I did not purchase all of the parts he wanted. I purchased the wheel wells and the oil from the dealer. Mike told me I needed 7 quarts (Scion xB) of oil whereas the dealer told me it would only take about 3 1/2 quarts.
I found that to be somewhat dicey and even thought he might be saving up to cheat another customer so I only gave him 4. I should have listened to my gut. As far as the wheel wells they were intact and the screws were in a sealed bag. Those were the only items that I needed to buy according to him.
Mike quoted me $40 to put on the wheel wells. I had just had an oil change at Oakley moody. Mike told me to get that oil out of there because it could cause damage to my engine. Thus, the reason I let him change the oil again.
However, when I went to the dealer they found oil all over the top and around the engine. No one touched that car but Mike. Now the left passenger wheel well is falling down and dragging as I drive. Clearly, it isnt protecting whatever its supposed to have been protecting according to Mike.
Now the oil change mustve cost $340 because he quoted me $40 for what he referred to as a simple job on the wheel wells. I called him repeatedly asking for a receipt because I like to have those things in the car for the next person who purchases it. At one point he wanted me to come out to his house so that we can discuss what he did to my car. Very unprofessional behavior on the part of having me go to his home.
extreme lack of knowledge when it comes to working on my automobile repairs. Or my wheel wells wouldnt be falling down and I wouldnt have oil all over the place. And sadly he has his son Marcos listed as the CEO or a person of contact. Marcario is dead therefore should not be listed as an agent for there is no way contact the dead as they know nothing at all.
Moreover, I spent over $1000 on two items. I had to give Mike, not Macario. $380 at his home for he is clearly not mobile as is fraudulently stated on his business card. I strongly urge anyone who needs a vehicle repaired to steer clear of Active auto repair, I wouldnt take my grandsons trike or motorized vehicle to such an unprofessional, switch and bait tactics, inept, lack of knowledge that can only cost me and you more out of pocket money.
Mike knew I was homeless and disabled. He took all of the money I had left for the month. I was literally pushed into paying Mike an exorbitant fee that was never disclosed accept for the $40 then he made it very clear that the cost would be minimal because it was easy to do, especially since I bought all of the parts he needed. Yes, my people stay away from this guy, his co-worker/wife, and believe me Macario wont be answering any calls until The Great Resurrection.
These people are sneaky and sly in the way they did business with me. I certainly do not wish for anyone else to fall victim as I.
- Being lied to threatening to keep my vehicle or place a boot on it
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Stay away and they will not give you a receipt—possible tax evasion.
