Could not restore my data from Acronis Cloud or my external hard drive

USER BEWARE!!!!! Defective Software and Abysmal Support I backed up my business computers using Acronis True Image. My computer failed, but I wasn't totally alarmed because I had been smart and backed up regularly (was i fooled). My loss of data should have been quite minimal. BUT NO!!!! Acronis True Image would not restore my machine. Acronis tech support (off-shore and frustrating to deal with) kept putting me off. Their support team works with you BUT none of their support (even by phone) amount to a fix!! After 3 days day I HAD to start rebuilding on my own so that I could move forward with my business.

Doesn't work

Tried to make a Survival Kit. It will not make one. Tried to make a Universal Restore Disk it will not make one. Contacted Acronis, and they told me that my 2019 is no longer supported and I should buy the 2020 version. You don't use the product unless you need it and then find out that it doesn't work and isn't supported.

User's recommendation: Don't buy.

Do not talk to acronis.

I don't know how I ended up with this I came home from being out and found out if my credit card has been charged and I disputed a charge and they said it is still owed him $49 I'm going to keep complaining I'm going to find somebody to find out how in the world I got subscribed to something that I've never heard of and have absolutely no use for.

Do not fall for the false sense of security by Acronis

I did my research and it seemed like Acronis True Image was the proper cloud back up. It all looked okay until I needed to restore from that back up. Then it did not work at all. So what good is a back up if it cannot be used to restore. Tech support and management said tough, nothing they could do. Had to pay someone to do a data restore because Acronis was a complete scam.

Run as quickly as you can from Acronis.

Warning! Acronis Destroys Your Computer!

Acronis is garbage. Everything was working fine till I decided to restore my PC to a previous date - Acronis destroyed my computer .... it did not boot up again!

I restored my desktop to a previous date using Acronis True Image. “Restore was Successful “ appeared after several hours; however Windows 10 did not boot up and the following message appeared each and every time: NTLDR is missing, Press Alt-Ctrl-Del to Restart. I inserted the Acronis Emergency Boot disk, Windows Repair disc , and even a self-boot Windows 10 image hoping to hit Repair when it boot up, but the PC did not boot up normally. As instructed by Acronis and Microsoft Tech Support, I changed the BIOS to boot from the CD Ram (more than 100 times) and the program did save the changes. Acronis Tech Support in tried to help me in various occasions unsuccessfully. After many days wasting precious time, a manager at Acronis in India said that probably there is a problem with the hardware. This is absurd because when I replace the bad hard drive with an old one running Windows XT, the computer runs fine. Obviously there is a bug in the program because the message “Restore was Successful” should not appear when errors exist. I offered to send them the actual hard drive so that their technicians can figure out what is wrong with the program, develop a correction and create a patch or update- they did not care Acronis does not stand behind the software – you are own your own when Acronis fails to perform – obviously there is an error in the restore program DON’T BE A VICTIM……..DO NOT BUY ACRONIS!

Scandalous Cheats

I wanted a simple clone package to create a bootable hot swap disk combined from my SSD and data disk. Simple enough.. clone SSD, create partition allocated space, backup data! Except, of course, True Image doesn't work with drives over 2tb. This really is annoying because BEFORE I bought I spent a long time chatting with pre-sales describing exactly what I wanted and they said there was no problem (course they would they wanted the money). Subsequently, support also said it was possible and even detailed how until I actually came to do it when hey presto it won't do what I wanted all along! Company motto..promise anything, take money and run! If you're reading this then you've been warned!!!

Acronis worst software company

I am very disappointed in Acronis and probably will never do business with them again. I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 installed in October of 2015 and began the long process of installing all of my purchased software. My Acronis True Image 11 purchased on or around June of 2011. ALL of the software I purchased on or later than that date has been able to be installed including some purchased much earlier than 2011. Those that needed drivers for the new windows took care of the issue but not Acronis. They are apparently blind to the fact that there are many competitors out there offering similar products FREE or at a very low price with the only drawback that you may need multiple free products to make up the full capability of the Acronis product. Acronis stands out as the worst supplier of those I have done business with.
