Accu-Weld Epoch Series 2300 repair/replacement
- - Lowe's installed 26 Accu-Weld windows in 2008; five have issues, they seek repair or replacement.
- - Call Tom Worthington at 215-943-****.
Lowe's Home Improvement installed 26 Accu-Weld windows in my residence in 2008. There are 5 of these windows which have developed problems since that time, (i.e., glass moisture/internal mildew/cracking, frame malfunction, hardware issues).
The documentation I have includes a lifetime manufacturer warranty.
I'd like to make arrangements to have these 5 windows repaired/replaced. Any assistance you can lend is appreciated.

No parts - lifetime warranty worthless

Bought all my windows and deck glass door through BJs home improvement. Have a sash pivot guide on one window that does not work.
Now I find out lifetime warranty is worthless because company is out of business.
This is the only window failure since we bought our windows in 2005. Its very upsetting as we are retired now and on fixed income.

Problem with upper windows
- - 24 Accu-Weld Double Hung, Agon Gas panes installed by Window Depot.
- - 5 upper windows have broken seals; replacement or repair needed.
Our 24 Windows were replaced with Accu-Weld Double Hung, Agon Gas panes by Window Depot, LLC. 5 upper windows have broken seals and I tried the contractor that replaced the windows but he went out of business so I need to find company that would either replace or repair these 5 windows

Hello, I too have the exact same issue. Windows were purchased by Window Depot and the franchise owner (Lance Cyford of Reisterstown MD) went out of business.
Anyway, Accu-Weld went out of business and was purchased by Haddon, who has since gone out of business as well. Window Depot indicated that they had to sever their relationship with Lance Cyford because he wasn't installing the brand of windows that Window Depot offered. Anyway, Window Depot won't stand behind you. I said to them..
how am I supposed to know as a consumer that he was installing the correct brand of windows? Good luck!!!!

Frustrated
- - Epoch Garden window from Lowe's with Lifetime warranty.
- - Seals failed, the window leaked, and a side pane cracked.
We purchased our Epoch Garden window from Lowe's which included a "Lifetime" warranty. The seals on the window broke it began leaking and one of the side windows cracked.
We went to Lowe's to get the repairs made only to find out that Epoch went bankrupt and the company that bought out Epoch went out of business. Lowe's could offer no assistance.
I was told to contact Accuweld to seek assistance with this defective product that I can clearly see we are not the only people with this garden window and the same issues with it. I appreciate any assistance we can get with replacement.
Preferred solution: Replace our Garden Window at no cost to us.

Moldy window
- - There is a lifetime guarantee on the garden window.
- - Sealer is failing, the top is coming apart, leaks cause mold; Lowe's has not helped.
I also have a lifetime guarantee with a garden window. I have the sealer falling out of the side windows and top of window is coming apart.
It is also leaking and causing mold in the corners of the windows, I do I get this taken care of. Lowe's are the ones we ordered and had them installed the window. They have not even bothered to help either. So what am I supposed to do?
It is against the law to have mold in your home and this window as mold. For the price I paid for this window it should be fixed and I am tired of getting the run around.
I have exactly the same problem. Within a year of installation the seal on the top became defective. I am understanding that AccuWeld is out of business so essentially no recourse...

Accuweld - Lifetime Guarantee Review from Middleborough, Massachusetts
I bought 6 Windows from Sears in 2000 & I need repair on one. Sears is telling me accu-weld os no longer in business and they can't get parts. I supposedly have a lifetime guarantee.
I've had the same luck with their windows. Lost the seal in several only a few years old, so much for the lifetime warranty.
Accu-Weld Rip Off
- - Warranty covers defective window replacement; shipping, labor and parts not covered.

I am a dealer and installer for Accu-Weld windows. What you are not told is that a defective window that has to be replaced is covered under warranty, although as Michele told me in the billing department that you have to read the fine print and we do not cover shipping cost are the labor to replace the window or parts.
The cost of the window is about $200 and the shipping is $15 and the travel time and cost for your labor is not covered.
The cost of travel to this location and the tools involved was over $100. Do not buy these windows ever.
Can you still get replacement parts? I can't seem to find anyone to talk to.
