How do you stay in business?

I bought an engine from a shop that had bought a 3.7 jeep engine from accurate engine for a customer and the car was repossessed. the engine came thru fraser engine with accurate engine paperwork and tags on it .still wrapped in plastic and strapped to a pallet with all its tags on it . could see the assembly lube in the block.they had it 3 years , but it appeared to be properly stored. after it was installed it had a bad misfire and was setting a po 300 code.after making all of the usual checks,i took the timing cover back off to check the timing chain alignment marks. they are right, but the right side chain tensioner was out twice the distance as the left one, after taking the tensioner off ,I had a lot of debris coming out of the oil passage and along with this, the new coolant looked like it was mudwater. needless to say, this engine was improperly rebuilt because the block or heads were never cleaned out and the right side chain appears to be used and stretched out longer than the left side.while this engine did not have a warranty because of the time it was uninstalled ,i called accurate engine and told them what happened with this engine and they could have cared less.the people working there were very rude, tony,if that's his real name, has no business selling anything.lesson learned, dont buy an engine from these people or any company that you have to buy the warranty for it .

Junk 4.7l Dodge and will not honer warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Installed a reman 4.7l dodge from these *** Got 4800 miles out of it and it started knocking. Lanny is an idiot, just wants you to pull motor and send it back on my dime so he can claim it is my fault. I rebuild diesel engines and have never had one come back, so I know it was installed properly. Only thing I put on the engine was the pan, valve covers, flex plate and timing cover and crank pulley. Should have sent it back when I seen the quality of there "reman" heads. *** inserts and fixes on several of the exhaust stud holes. They are a joke and I am filing a complaint with state of Michigan.

Horrible Customer Service and Blatant Lies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We purchased a re-manufactured engine 01/22/2019 and sent core as directed - they received it on 02/08/2019. At that time, they did not state we needed to send by certain date to secure the one they had one hand. They confirmed receipt of core on 02/08/19 and tech stated it would be ready by end of week and they would send back week of 18th. I followed up on 18th since did not hear anything, they said no updates available. I called back on 21st and was told be tech that engine was in the warranty stage and needed to pass the inspection. I called back on the 25th and was told it did not pass inspection so needed to be rechecked. My husband called on the 28th where they stated calling him back "in 10 minutes" but no return call came. He called again on 03/04/2019 where tech had no information and rudely hung up on him. I called at 2:30PM on the 4th and asked for a manager to which Lanny said the manager was in Florida and asked if he could help. After relating the issues, Lanny stated: the engine they originally had for us was sent to a different customer because we "took to long to send the core." Lanny also stated: they had to out-source the work and that location said they do not have a matching engine and will take 3 more weeks. At this time I expressed a strong concern for the fact that we were previously told that the engine was almost ready and going through inspection. He said that was not the case. He offered to return core with refund or wait for new engine. We opted for refund and return core, and I asked multiple times if the refund would be a full refund as the company misspoke about the entire ordeal. He said he would have to speak with a manager about that but most likely we would. Lanny stated the core would be shipped back on 03/05/2019 and a refund check mailed to our address same day. On the 5th I spoke to Lanny and he said neither had been sent due to weather. I confirmed again a full refund of $9095 and he said he was confident we would not get charged for the freight but had to discuss with manager. I asked for an email to confirm all this and when items shipped, to which Lanny agreed. On 03/07/2019 I called again to follow up and after being on hold for 15 minutes, Lanny stated the items were shipped and refund check was less than $9095 because it was our responsibility to pay the $300 freight since we changed our minds. When I expressed concern again for the lies the company told (they stated engine was complete and going through warranty inspection, and then stated it was never worked on and would be 3 more weeks) Lanny said it was still our responsibility to cover freight because company was not at fault since we "took too long." I asked to speak with a manager, to which Lanny replied he was a manager. I explained he never said that on the 4th or at any time, to which he replied he was the decision maker on this matter. I asked for the owner, to which Lanny also replied he was part owner. At this juncture, I would highly recommend no one to ever do business with this company now or in the future. They have horrendous customer service, no follow up, no follow through, blatantly lie, and then hold the customer responsible for their mistakes and mishandling of issues. At no time did they say we were late in getting core to them so it would take longer.... until we became concerned on how long it was taking! Then the truth came out - they had not even started the reman! Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Disgusting company if this is their leader, owner, manager and final decision maker.

Great rebuild. LIKE NEW and for the best price.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The best rebuild engine for the price comes with 100.000 miles warranty. Acurate engine stand behind every agreement. My advise.. you MUST use a CERTIFIED MECHANIC ..try installing yourself or use USED parts you will run in to unwanted issue. And the blame game

They are trying to not honor the warranty! They are saying the plenum is the cause of problem. The shop where my truck is said the plenum is fine and not causing the damage.

Original review Apr 05, 2018
I guess I’m a lucky one. My engine lasted almost a year! Pretty sad! Paint inside the engine has chipped off and now I need another engine. They said to have it removed and ship it to them for review.

I had the same problem engine lasted 1 year head gaskets blew all work done from installation to diagnosis done by certified GM dealer. I was told by accurate engines they wouldn't cover the repair.

my Cadillac is going to the junk yard after spending 9 thousand dollars to replace the motor I'm done spending money .

its a scam to get the motor from your car then they send you a motor they know is going to fail so you send it back to them and they tell you no warranty coverage so you don't pay to have the motor shipped back and they get 2 motors for the price of 1 and they get paid by you. remember their slogan replace the motor not the car save your money replace the car!!!!!!

Junk rebuild 91xxx-23 qts of oil between oil changes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is the worst engine I had own out of over 100 what I own. I have it rebuild @ Accurate engines with a dead piston, almost no compression piston # 8. Use to have 43-50 psi oil (cold start then warm up)pressure when I bring it IN, after rebuild I'm running @ 37 psi at 55mph. It use 23 qts of oil between oil changes @ 7000 miles a part. I use only full synthetic oil mix with duralube after rebuild but shortly I give up because become very expsnsive to keep this engine running. I look in forums, I try Mystery oil, lucas, all additives in the market with no results. Pay as lmost $6000 for repair, no I have a knock running what put more frustration to the bill. Shold buy a crate engine from the start. DO NOT WAIST YOUR $$ HERE !!!

Horrible experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
More details on 4.7L dodge 2002 model. (Ed’s Mechanical Services) Spoke to Lanny about a 4.7L which a customer bought for me to install. Sent pictures of damaged piston and cylinders and Lanny stated it was due to detonation caused by the installer or the operator. This engine ran fine for approx 1,000mi. Took the engine to a local machine shop here in San Antonio to have it inspected. The machine shop told me that one of the heads was resurfaced beyond limits which caused to much compression on that side which caused the detonation. The same side that had piston damage! Now Lanny will not return any messages or calls. I gave a written diagnosis to the customer for his recourse. I doubt ,after hearing all of the complaints, that my customer will be reimbursed for any cost. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve seen in the business. My mechanical experience covers over 40 yrs . President automotive class of 1980 Diesel mechanic 1980-**** Top graduate with highest GPA in A&P (with a class of over 40 students) Owned mechanical business for over 20yrs

Complete Conartists. Buy elsewhere

I bought a motor for my Dodge pickup in June of 16. I had it installed at the dealership in the town I was working in.

After 5000 miles of easy driving the motor went bad. Lost compression and was getting 70% blow by in the engine. Called the company and they said to have it taken out and they would repair it. The mechanics at the shop took it out and sent it back and got what I thought was a refurbished crate motor.

The shop called me and said they were going to put the motor in but noticed quite a few defects and needed to see me. I went down and saw a junk motor from Accurate. Non of the cylinders had been honed. All the cylinder walls had gouges and scratches in them from debris.

The oil pan had a layer of milky oil with metal flakes in it. All cylinders were sleeved at one time. Oil pickup screen was full of foreign material and cracked. Gears for the timing chain were worn and the list goes on.

Called the company back and told them the problems and they said my mechanic didn't know what he was talking about and to send the motor back. I put the mechanic on the phone and Lanny told him he didn't know what he was talking about and hung up. Now a week later the company won't answer our calls so they can have the motor picked up and all my voicemails go unanswered.

This company is a complete fraud and they also go by Frazier Powertrains or just powertrains so beware of that. This company needs to be shut down.

Just saw your post, wished I had seen it 4months ago. I installed a 4.7L dodge engine for a customer.

After approx 1000mi the motor started knocking. After going round and round with Lanny I decided to remove and tear down the engine for inspection.

Found piston damage on r/s rear. Took pics and sent to Lanny and he told me it was detonation which was caused by a lean mixture. Both rear cylinders looked like they ran hot.

The temp indicators epoxied on the rear of each head looked normal. I guess it's only warrantied if you don't need it!

I've been a mechanic for over 30 yrs and have never had this much catastrophe over s build. Should have built it myself!!!

What I seen with the two motors they sent me is the were used motors and just repainted. I had to buy from another company and now they won't cover the cost of the engine or the labor.

Still working with the Michigan Attorney Generals office and hoping they will help.

Accurate is currently being sued by another company right now. Apparently they were selling Accurate motors and they had so many complaints they stopped selling them.

SAY NO TO ACCURATE ENGINES

They did not have any core Duramax engines so I sent them mine to rebuild. They did not clean the block, painted over dirt, rust and old sealer. Returned to me with broken studs and bolts in the wrong places. I dealt with the irritation and put the engine together anyways. I put the engine in the truck, got everything hooked up, started the truck, got it up to operating temp. and noticed a pretty bad coolant leak coming from the pass. side of the engine. After two hours of searching with a flashlight and a mirror I found that it was coming from the freeze plug behind the motor mount. If anyone reading this has worked on a duramax then you know the time involved in it. DO NOT make the mistake of calling this company, you will have a better chance of getting a good ham sandwich from them before you get a good engine. After reading this if you are still dense enough to order from them, after T.S.H.T.F dont bother calling their warranty department, they'll never answer or call back.

I ordered 5.4 long block. I also ordered a new oil pan another 80$ .

Long story short got my motor after a month and a half of calling when I was told 3-4 days. They never shiped my oil pan which was an additional 80$ and stop taking my calls. I bought this engine in May and right as we speak just figured out the problem. Those idiots timed it wrong which caused the valve to slap the Piston..

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LEARN FROM MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

Go ahead accurate engines...try and say you didn't do *** work..long blocks come finished and timed.. I have a receipt of it being a long block..you're company gives built in U.S.A a horrible name.
