AccessParks is illegally tampering with Mediacom's infrastructure, causing internet...

I was forced into using AccessParks internet service after my trailer park manager allowed AccessParks to cut off Mediacom service, and now AccessParks is the only ISP to service the park. Someone claiming to be from AccessParks went around, opened Mediacom's pedastals around the park, and cut several wires inside.

They threatened to cut wires again once Mediacom restored service. About 30 minutes after Mediacom fixed the wires, they were cut again at the bottom.

AccessParks has promised FTTH (Fiber to the home) service. What i got instead is throttled, broken, garbage-tier connection that barely functions and can't even support basic gaming, streaming, or downloads. This is not an exaggeration.

- My download speeds regularly drop to 7-13mbps.

I pay for 1gb.

- No one will tell me what my upload speeds are supposed to be, but they'll be bizarrely high (400-600mbps) while my download speed is 100mbps or under.

- Packet loss hits 20%+ causing apps and online games to crash or lag.

- Latency stays around 60-70ms, which is absurd for a fiber connection.

I've been documenting everything: wired tests, time of day, equipment used, etc. I have also filed complaints with the BBB, ICC, FCC, and Attorney General - because AccessParks refuses to give a straght answer about what plan im on or why my speeds are so bad. I'm also tracking this story on reddit, where it's gaining a lot of traction. Residents in the trailer park are furious.

This is a company that advertises fiber, but delivers worse performance than satellite or DSL, hides upload/download guarantees, dodges responsibility, and has monopolized my entire park without resident input.

I will NEVER recommend this company.

And I'm actively working to get Mediacom restored to our park. If you see "AccessParks" listed as your only option, run.

Loss:
$100
Cons:
  • Would not allow me to change my ssid at first
  • Will not tell me my upload speed
  • Kept leaving my door open during the install

Preferred solution: I would like an apology from AccessParks, and to have Mediacom allowed back into the park to service residents again.

User's recommendation: Save yourself the trouble, get Starlink rather than this garbage.
