If you are going to shop at Bob's furniture the finance company they use is called acceptance Now, if you can't pay off in 4 months, my advice is shop somewhere else...

When my furniture was delivered the chair and ottoman was not in delivery.they said it got damages at the warehouse. so I said I don't want it any more because I didn't want wait another month.they said no problem we will rewrite your contract..As I started making my payment, I noticed the amount, come to find out the ottoman and chair was still included in my payment the cost was $299 plus tax.I wanted my contract redid they told me they couldn't do that.why am I paying for something I Don't have?

Waiting 3 months for a refund check

David Rush, one regional manager we were told would call us to resolve this has not followed up with us in 72 hours. Waiting on a refund for 3 months.

Acceptance store manager Dwayne told us his regional manager said not to wait for a check since it has taken 3 months and not arrived at the store. they would pay us by cash at the Greece store location as soon as someone came in to make a payment in the amount of the money owed us which is $219.99. We have been waiting one week to hear back and obviously no one makes a payment at that store because we haven't heard back. We just would like our refund.It was not our fault the lamp canceled was arriving three months after our couch that was already 4 months late.

We paid our account in full 1 week before our furniture delivery.

It is negligent at this point to be waiting for a refund for an item we never received. Show respect and follow up and return the money you took for an item we didn't want 7 months late.

I was told by Kay at Bobs Discount Furniture in Novi, MI that I would be done paying off my table in four months from the start date. I have now been charged an extra month that I did not agree upon. No documents that I received laid out an extended payment plan and I did not sign anything agreeing to this. The AcceptanceNOW website and customer service number is a joke. I would like to stop the automatic payments being deducted from my bank account and be refunded my money.

Complaint of manager

I am highly upset with the service I have received from Zack at the Value City Howe ave Akron Ohio location. I was told on 10/23 when I called in because a payment was taken out of my account that shouldnt have been that I should have called to do the buy out program. So I did that over the phone then and that I would be getting a check within 2-3 weeks. It is now 3 weeks and no check has been sent or received. I called customer service and they stated that there was no information that a refund was processed. I ended up calling to speak with Zack and he stated that he doesnt know if he did it correctly or if the check has went through and that he would have to see how to send out a check and then call me back to reissue the check out and it can take 2-3 weeks. This is unacceptable for a manager to say that he doesnt know if he did it correctly. This is someones money that he is dealing with and apparently doesnt know how to deal with it properly. He needs to be retrained especially on how to be manager. When I asked for his district managers number he said he didnt have a number he could give me. Very unprofessional!!!!!!

This is one of the most unprofessional companies around. I have been given a hundred different amounts of what my payoff is, I HATE this company and will NEVER EVER use this company again. If I could give them a middle finger with no stars, that is what they would get!!!

Ive paid my love on time every month no compliants. Even brought insurance for it. I started speaking to Crista the manager about being able to pay off my lease a day late two days before the 120th day. She said no way. I said can i speak to your supervisor. Crista said no you cannot and she will say the same thing. So i said will you contact her for me? Next day Yes i contacted Alicia her supervisor via email and Krista said Alicia said noway. So had i had a flexible company i could have paid approx. 563.00 now one day later it would have doubled. the lease it would 3000 dollars for a loveseat worth 700.00. Approximately.

I made all payments on time my 120 was coming up i called to ask for 0ne day extension. They said noway. The 120 payment was 563.00 one day late 1000 dollars total lease 3000 for a love seat .

They basically steal from you

I bought a living room set for $899. When signing the contract we established that payments would be taken bi-weekly (that balance wouldve been paid off in 90 days) but instead they only drafted payments once a month. Fast forward to 8 months later, payments of 164.67 were still being drafted from my account which totals $1317.36. I went in to speak with the acceptance now manager at Ashley furniture store and she told me that I Still owed over $400 on my account before it would close. She told me that I could pay it in full within the next month or I could continue to make monthly payments and if I made the minimum payment of 164.67 that my balance would go from $429 to $401. How does that make any sense?? I give you $164.67 on a $429 balance and my balance only goes down $28?? And even more mind blowing is how they told me that I owe $400 more dollars on a $899 dollar couch that Ive already paid over $1300 for. Then she proceeds to tell me that the person who did my paperwork with me must hadnt gone over that payment breakdown with me and that the contract wasnt in her handwriting. I had a representative on the phone tell me that part of the money goes to the state and they have no idea where it goes. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone at all and I will continue to press the matter.

If you go even a day past your 90 days they fine you, then more than half of each payment (not including taxes or insurance) goes to the leasing fees.

Unauthorized deduction

With the death of my father I called to Get a payment extension. In a year I have never had a late or incomplete payment. 48 hrs BEFORE payment due I used the call back feature. After 23 min I was assured of the 2 week extension. On my payment date the $ came out despite my granted extension. Not only did this place my bank account in the negative, it left me penniless to travel to my dad's funeral. On 9-16 I phoned and the rep said she would place a high priority on my supervisor call back and that they would honor the agreement made on the 14th. and gave me a ticket number. On the 17th no call, so I called the number back. This lady to ya talked over me, would not let me finish a sentence but told me I should have called my store. THE STORE WAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND NUMBER DISCONNECTED. The next closest store didn't return my calls. She also said that nobody has authorization to give extensions. The RUDE lady then told me I would get a call in 48 -72 hrs and gave me another ticket number for the escalation. She didn't even let me give her the other ticket number. She just hung up on me. My dad's funeral is Saturday and at this point I have an overdrawn account, can't get to the funeral or even buy a bottle of water because THREE people gave 3 DIFFERENT answers and I am left in an emotional and financial shambles. I can't even find a number to talk to someone at corporate. By the way, I have audio recordings of every call along with dates, time and length of call.

I started an account with Acceptance by purchasing furniture from Bobs Furniture. I was working but then after several months into my purchase my hours changed I ask if the payments could be lowered i was told NO so I had to return the furniture. Now they won't provide me verification that the furniture was returned and no balance is owed. And is reporting to my credit report. A simple request and all these. Problems.
