Not an honest collection agency

My company hired ACB a few years ago. At first they were very cooperative.

We had a rep assigned to our case who would fax me daily reports on a monthly basis as well as send payments when they were able to collect on delinquent accounts. Within a year I began to notice that their communication with me started to dwindle. I was no longer receiving reports and we had not seen any payment in months. I contacted them regarding this matter and come to find out some of our patients did in fact pay but my company never saw our share of the balance owed to my company.

I had to speak with a higher manager who apologized and PROMISED that this would never happen again and he sent me our share of money owed to my company as well as reports old and new. I was also informed that the CEO of ACB had our money but was "out of the country". A few months went by and again I was not receiving anything. Tried to contact this manager who made all these promises but he was ducking my phone calls and emails.

A few weeks went by and I received an email from this manager stating he no longer wanted to work with my company???

I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone. I feel these people are a bunch of crooks and very unprofessional.

DISHONEST

ONCE AGAIN, THESE IDIOTS WHO HANDLE DR SCOTT COHEN & RASO GASTROENTEROLOGISTS ACCOUNTS (EVEN AFTER PAID IN FULL) HAVE THIS REPORTING ON CREDIT REPORT. ITS ONLY $148 BUT IT WAS PAID IN FULL &; THEY WILL CONTINUE TO SHOW IT AS A PAID COLLECTION FOR YEARS TO COME.

SHAME ON YOU FOR LYING, SAYING IF IT WAS PAID IN FULL, IT WOULD BE TAKEN OFF CREDIT REPORT.

DON'T PAY & SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGREVATION!!!!!!! BETTER YET STOP USING THE DOCTORS WHO USE THESE PEOPLE. WHAT IS THE AVERAGE COST OF COLONOSCOPIES THESE DAYS?

MANY THOUSANDS & GUESS THAT ISN'T ENOUGH.

YOU NEED TO TEACH ME A LESSON, WELL I LEARNED NOT TO DEAL WITH YOU EVER AGAIN.

TIL NEXT MONTH......YOU NEED THE COLONOSCOPY SINCE YOU ARE FULL OF SH...............

I have the same issue with Jersey Shore Radiologists Associates. Perfect credit score, but ACB reported several delinquent accounts.

Did not affect my score, but its the point.

NOT using Jersey Shore Radiologists Associates again, nor my family, friends and let my family physician know. Thanks

STILL REPORTING EVEN WHEN PAID

i WENT TO DR. SCOTT COHEN AND DUE TO HIS MISDIAGNOSIS, I NEVER PAID $148 LEFT OWING AFTER HE MILKED MY HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EXPENSIVE PROCEDURES WITH HIS AFFILIATED SURGERY CENTER AND ANOTHER GASTRO FOUND PROBLEM.

I DECIDED TO JUST PAY WHEN THESE SAID THEY WOULD REMOVE FROM CREDIT REPORT. THEY LIED!! STILL THERE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PAID IN FULL 18 MONTHS AGO.

STAY AWAY FROM DOCTORS WHO USE THESE PEOPLE, NOT WORTH PAYING IF IT IS STAYING ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT, AND YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR LESSER SETTLEMENT.

THEY ENJOY THEIR POWER. SHOW THEM YOURS AND GIVE THE DOCTORS THEY REPRESENT A REVIEW AS WELL. WORKS BOTH WAYS

NOT BBB ACCREDITED

Make sure you record these employees & then you won't be told one thing & another done. Companies that are not BBB accredited usually are not for a reason. Check them out on all the complaints that they ignored & did not respond. There aren't many here.

Also, check out PISSED CONSUMER & see how some people aren't taking their BS anymore.

Also, with companies like this, you should add the Dr or Hospital name so that others can see what type of company they employ to get every penny they can out of you.

Maybe the Doctors & Hospitals don't know that even when they are paid, they like to ruin you, or maybe it's at the Doctor's request.

Definitely something to think about, when choosing a Doctor or Hospital who most likely is already over-charging for services that fatten their wallets & bank accounts. Of course, they always have your best interest at heart.

ACB Recievables

ACB Receivables has been chasing me for a bill that is not mine for several years. I am a female and the person is a male .

So they know they are wrong. They placed it on my credit file and will not remove it even though is have repeatedly sent letters. This has been ruining my credit. They are doing this to others also.

I filed a complaint with the FTC and they are looking for others.

So everyone who has had a bad experience with ACB call the FTC and file a complaint.

This company has to be stopped.

ACB Receivables has called me a few times to collect a medical bill that I never even received an initial bill for. While that is fine, I asked two separate reps to either give me the name of the doctor who billed me or to send me a copy of the bill because I want to make sure that the debt is actually legitimate.

One person told me that they could not give me that information and another said they would send me an "account breakdown". I never received one. But that didn't stop them for asking for my bank account information over the phone.

I let them know that until they could show me proof this debt is legitimate, I was not going to pay. So far I have not received anything to show that this is actually a bill I am responsible for.

ACB Receivables Management

The company is really, really bad! Here is my story:

My wife went to Emergency Services at Jersey Shore Medical, and was charged US$138. Jersey Shore never sent the bill to our insurance company and claimed that they sent the bill to me which I never received.

Jersey Shore later sent the bill to ACB Receivables Management, and I got a bill from ACB. I immediately called ACB and got managers from ACB, Jersey Shore and my insurance company on the phone. They told me that I only needed to pay less than US$20, and the rest should be paid by my insurance company. I paid my portion right the way, and was told that they won't add the bill to my credit report. Unfortunately, I just learned that they reported the bill to my credit report.

By the way, I did pay another US$8 after my insurance company paid its portion but it was not my fault. They calculated wrong on the phone.

In my review, both ACB and Jersey Shore Medical Associates did not act professionally, and they lied to me all the time until I paid the last penny. ACB is even worse. They never listened to my explanation; they just hanged up the phone whenever I called.

Please be AWARE.

They buy junk at pennies per 1000 dollars and don't call back. Escalated to DA and FTC.

Guest

They don't call back! Loosers

Definitely not true about the 30-day waiting period. My case was reprted to the credit reporting agencies immediately, even though I called ACB and tried to resolve the situation immediately.

PLUS, even though I had just one medical bill in dispute, they reported me as having NINE seriously delinquent accounts.

Been trying to write and call them for months, as has my lawyer - they ignore everything. ***

I have filed a complaint against ACB Receivable Management for their violation of the Fair Debt Reporting Act. It has been over a year they are reporting something that is not mine on my credit file and they refuse to remove it.

I filed with the Federal Trade Commision and they said to go on line and look for others. All you out there do not sit back and let this company get away with breaking the law.

Guest

i few days ago i wrote a positive response about ACB and how they helped me and i see that is was removed. I guess this url is only interested in false information.

I will repeat my self again. This company helped me resolve my insurance issue and provides you 30 days to resolve your issue before it goes to the credit report, so i would suggest that people resolve the issues prior to it going to the credit report, but I'm sure this will also be removed from this site since its positive information.

actually most companies are nice and will remove but this group acts like it's personal with them. they seem to enjoy leaving it on and they will show you who's the boss!!!!!

maybe they would be amazed at possibly someone else being on line and hearing them say one thing and do another. that's not against the law and hopefully if asked, I can verify

We are fast to complain that the agencies report to the credit agencies, but what we forget that it is up to us to stay on top of our bills. I'm not saying that some agencies are very hard to deal with but i had a great experience with this agency.

they resolved my insurance issues and i only had to pay what was owed by me. I was also explained that they do not report accounts for 30 days giving us an opportunity to resolve the issues, therefore the bottom line is stop complaining and deal with the situation and dont wait until you need something, resolve it before it gets to the credit report.

This company has screwed up my creidt over a $259.00 "phantom bill". While in college & under my mother's insurance, I went to the doctors. In between the time I went and the time the local doctor in Brick NJ finally sent her the bill, her work changed insurance companies. She called to explain what happened and they were going to resolve the issue.

Not even close. The doctor sent my bill to this sad excuse for human flesh ACB Receivables & they instantly whacked my credit score. Absolute nightmare! Try getting them on the phone, ha!

All you get is an answering service.

Complete POS!

I HAVE EXPERIENCES ALMOST THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS COLLECTION AGENCY. I HAD A MEDICAL BILL SENT DIRECTLY TO ALL 3 CREDIT REPORTING AGENICIES WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE.

I PERSONALLY PLAN ON FILING A COMPLAINT WITH CONSUMER AFFAIRS UNDER \"FAIR DEBT COLLECTING\". MAYBE YOU SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY.
