Verified Reviewer |Someone should write up the manager from AC Hotels by Marriott in Boston Downtown
I received a voucher for a flight, a hotel, taxi front and back to AC hotels from American Airlines for a taxi from the airport to the AC hotel and from the AC hotel to the airport after volunteering to take the next flight out.
Once I got to the AC hotel, I asked the receptionist (I don't know her name) if she could help me book a taxi using the voucher for the next day. She said she couldn't help me book because most taxis, you book 30 minutes ahead of time.
I expressed my concern about booking a taxi because my flight was early. She said there is always someone operating the desk 24-7. Around 4:30 am, there wasn't anyone for 10-15 minutes, but I waited... Usually I do not get upset because anyone could take a break or be busy when manning the desk...I was on a time crunch and not happy with my encounter with the hotel manager.
Ehsan, probably the hotel manager, appeared thinking that I was another woman whom he was accommodating for and asked me if I was Ms. (can't remember her name), I said no. Then he finally got back to operating the desk after being absent. I just asked him if he could help me book a taxi and that the airline said I could use a voucher.
At first, he swiped my voucher without even looking at it, and I had to get it back to tell him that the airlines had collaborated with the hotel, and I needed them to help me book a taxi so I could use my voucher to get to the airport.
He called his colleague to ask about the voucher and went HYSTERICAL. I was never mean or said anything in an offensive tone, but he ended up crap-talking about me when present on the phone with a female colleague. Whoever checked me into the hotel in the morning DID say I can ask about the taxi in the morning. This Ehsan guy said that it was his first time coming up with stories and that I expected the hotel to pay for my taxi.
I never said tough things and didn't believe it was my fault he had a negative thought process. I just asked if he could help me book a taxi because I have a voucher. They should be familiar with taxi bookings if American Airlines collaborates with them on overnight hotel vouchers. Even if he didn't know, this Ehsan guy should not have been rude and said politely he was not aware of the process.
He was extremely mean and then shoved the voucher back to me, saying to get a uber or Lyft and reimburse it to the airlines.
I wished I got a recording of that rude manager so I could post it on Youtube. There are some nasty people in this world that should definitely not work in hospitality jobs.
This guy also left the speaker on, and I could hear his colleague on the other side of the line.
