GREAT BUSINESS!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Absolute Auto, and their ENTIRE STAFF, helped me several times to get into a reliable, nice ,car. They worked over and beyond when I got into a car accident, and had me in a car the same day!

They work with each customer to make the payments work for them, and maintain the vehicles with service checks and oil changes. Why go anywhere else?? Go to Absolute Auto and talk with their friendly staff, you won't be let down or upset.

They will work with you and get you into a great car that's affordable! The Sales Staff listens to each customers requests, and gets you into the car that you want, not what they want to get rid of.

TERRIBLE! ALL SALVAGED VEHICLES THEY PASS OFF AS USED!!

I have had the same experience as a few others - I was sold a car as "used" when in fact it has a slavaged title (I was NEVER told this once and when I asked for the car facts they said I will have to pay for it). I paid the car off after almost spending $11,000+ on repairs along the way and have been fighting with them for months now to attain the title (they will not admit that there is no title even though it is obvious - not returning my calls or doing anything other than giving me the run around) that doesn't even exist. I have submitted a claim with the BBB and the attorney general. This is a very, very shady business that will rip you off from day 1 (my car was acting wild literally the very day I drove it off the lot, which I fought for almost 5 months with them to fix, smh).

The place is not professional at all - I have been avoided, hung up on, and treated poorly when all I am asking for is the title that I rightfully paid for. Either way, AVOID THIS PLACE - unless of course you have a lot of money and time to waste!

Crooks, Thieves, Liars!!!!

I leased a car from them. It looked beautiful on the outside.

I wasn't informed that it was a salvaged car when I was shopping. I had already made a contract on it and gave them over a thousand dollars deposit before I found out. They refused to give me my deposit back and forced me to take the car because I signed a purchase agreement. I took the car because I was afraid of them and I didn't want to lose my deposit.

I immediately started having problems. I called them and they took it in to look at it and told me that everything that was happening was "normal". I started having more problems in addition to the ones I was already having. I called again.

They took the car in for a week and they tried to charge me a deductible that I refused to pay. It came back worse. I then started having the check engine light come on and the car was "snapping" every time I turned the wheel and a different clunk when I put it in gear. I called them again and they were going to exchange the car for me.

They never came through with that promise. I then made another appointment for repair which they made for two weeks later after I called. Meanwhile, I decided that I'm not going to deal with this BS anymore so I called them and told them that I'm not making anymore payments and that I'll turn in the car. They came and took the car.

I watched as they drove it away. I tried to catch them because my two toddlers' car seats were in there and also my wallet with my driver's license, social security card, debit card and over two hundred dollars in cash. I called Absolute and told them that they could have at least told me that they were there to take it so that I can get my stuff out. The owner was really snotty, no surprise, and told me that the tow truck doesn't take it back to the dealership and that I'm SOL for now.

There was NO tow truck. It was two guys in a Jeep and one got out and hopped in my car and drove away. I went to pick up my stuff from the car and my wallet was not there. I asked them where it was and they said that they didn't see a wallet.

How convenient. I held back a payment of $80 and they just stole over $200 that was in my wallet. Now I have to cancel my debit card and get a new license and I'm out of all that cash. They also tried to tell me that I need to pay for a dent in the car.

There was no dent. They car was perfect when before they came and took it.

I wrote to the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, the Bureau of Consumer Protection and a few others. I also filed a small claim to recover my deposit and all of the payments that I made on the car over the three and a half months that I had it.

Absolute Auto Credit - Faulty Car Review from Albany, New York

I have had 4 cars from.Within a few months expect large car repair bills. Not friendly at all.

They make you feel like a second class citizen. BEWARE and RUN a carfax, they pretty much sell salvaged/junk/scrap vechicles! Oh...don't even be one day late on your car payment. They are loan sharks!

They will call all your references as well as your job each day! I would not recommend this place to anyone! You will always get poor service and end up paying 2 1/2 times than what the vehicle is worth!

STAY AWAY!!! CROOKS!

SHADDY DEALERSHIP! ABSOLUTE AUTO!

Updated by user Jul 01, 2013

location is not San Jose, California...its Fort Edward and Cambridge New York!

Original review Jul 01, 2013

Hello consumers! Do not buy from Absolute Auto Credit in Fort Edward NY or there other location which i believe is in Greenwich or Cambridge. I purchased a 2007 Suzuki Forenza from them. I have had it 4 months. In that 4 months my transmission has gone...(took them 2 weeks to get it back to me because the "owner" John and Steve needed to "approve" the part needed to fix my car, and they seemgliy took their time.

Once got the car back i suddenly needed a power steering pump as well, mind you it was FINE when it went in for the transmission to be replaced.

On 6/28/13 they came and repossessed my car. I have placed 8 phone calls in to the dealership as of 3:13 pm 6/29/13, my last payment as scheduled was made on 6/24/13. When i got the car payments were suppose to be made on Thursdays. Due to income change Molly the accounts manager CALLED ME ON FRIDAY 6/22/13 to see if putting me in the system for payments on Mondays rather than Thursdays would help me out. I responded gladly with a yes please and thank you. So, be sure to follow the dates here folks...on 6/28/13 at 12am...yes i said 12 AM my car is being repossessed...of course i loose my head...bc as per the conservation with Molly on 6/22/13 my payments were moved to Mondays, so my next payment would be on 6/1/13. Of course the repo man is only doing his job for a *** dealership obviously. Please let me also let consumers know that this dealership puts a device in your car that automatically shuts your car down from remote location if its activated....this was NOT used, rather they came and got the car.

So, lets see here at best...if you follow my original payment date of Thursday 6/27/13 was missed and Molly didn't make the proper notes in the system even though SHES the one who called me on 6/22/13..at best then my payment was 24 hours late. And they come get the car???? Really? how about that remote device where you shut the car down till payment is made? how about the late fee? how about general customer service of a phone call to ASK the customer why they didn't pay?

O no lets go get the car, not answer any phone calls, or return phone calls. Lets Hide behind the office ladies who had NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS AND LET THEM GET THE FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE, lets have the office ladies tell the customer "tell her its month end and we wont be calling her till Monday". REALLY??? ALL PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE!!! CAR PAYMENT NOT IN DELINQUENT STATUS....HAVE ALL RECEIPTS AND PROOF OF PAYMENTS....LETS GO GET THE CAR AND THEN SOCK HER WITH A REPO FEE TO BOOT ( when in reality all they had to do was hit the off button on there little remote they have in the car and a phone call could of been made)...BUT BETTER YET..LETS MAKE HER GO WITHOUT A PAID FOR CAR FOR THE WEEKEND BECAUSE WE CANT TAKE TWO SECONDS TO LOOK IN THE SYSTEM.

The owners wife Melissa the "office manager"...which by the way I called her the accounts manager and she took it as an insult. And a degrading comment. So, that must mean Molly who she stated to me whose the "account manager" must be *** on the totem pole by Melissa standards.

So, let me ask this...does every dealership take a care with mis communication, or at best a 24 hour late payment??

These guys are rip offs. There service department will be certain to use all your gas as well when you take your car in for repair..and be guaranteed that something else will be wrong with your car when it comes out.

The GPS is simple to bypass. All you need to do is connect the start signal wire back together.

They splice their device in a series curcuit so it can be turned on or off by sattelite. Go to bulldog security.com to find the color of the start wire on your vehicle.

They usually splice at the steering column area just hook the original wire together and the car can't be shut off!!!!! :}

purchased a car thinking that it may help my credit score by making all my payments weekly and on time .boy was i wrong 2 and a half years of making payments including 3 what they call bubble payments has gained me zip. when asked about this the reply was we don't report to the credit bureau until after the car is paid off.but im sure they have an excellent score and they report that.

Everyone that I know who has gotten a car from Absolute Credit has had trouble with the autos and dealership. Two took the autos to other places to be repaired after they were supposed to have been repaired at Absolute Auto.

One man bought the part he needed and took it in to Absolute and told them to put it in....he found it hidden in the auto after it was "repaired".

A new converter and a number of other things supposedly "fixed" never were....but they shut down the auto when their payment wasn't there on time. Finally buyer got smart....they can repo the *** thing.

Absolute Auto Of Fort Edward, NY follow up

So previously I let you know about my dealings with Absolute Auto. Well today, Steve the "GM" called me back after 6 additional phone calls with a promise each time he would call me back within 30 min. Then he calls my daughters phone, claiming hes tried to call me and I am not answering, (um, Steve there is a call log on my cell phone which is the ONLY phone number you have for me and not ONE incoming call from Absolute Auto or an unknown number has come through my phone..nice try though ...and all incoming/outgoing calls are logged on my actual phone bill...NONE from you are there).

So, anyway....I get a hold of Steve finally he informs me I can go get my car and make the payment but there is some damage to the car on the front wheel well and on the roof of the car. Really? Because there wasn't when you took my car wrongfully and illegally. SO, I go to get the car and imagine this my alternator suddenly does not work, worked when you towed it. Ok, so he says to me "im willing to wave the 200 dollar deductible it would cost you to get fixed so it runs"....really...how sweet of you. Now onto this "damage" to the car. As we go outside and look at the car. I see exactly what hes talking about... i started laughing so hard...i stated to him "YOU SOLD ME THE CAR WITH THIS DAMAGE" in fact your son Mike was the salesman, and when my daughter and I pointed it out to him he said to us "I brought it up to the service department and my GM (who by the way is STEVE) and they told me it was just surface and they had no intentions of fixing it, they painted over the dents". Now, yes dumb of me to take it I realize this now in hine site, however today Steve tries telling me that WE (my daughter and I ) caused this damage. The cost of the damage $6,642.82. YOU SOLD ME A CAR WITH OVER $6,642 DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE AND NOW YOUR TRYING TO SAY WE DID IT??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY????? Good thing we have pics of the car when we first got it. FYI...the attorney generals office is going to have a field day with this. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ABSOLUTE BECAUSE IM GONNA SHUT YOU DOWN! AND GET MY CAR PAYMENTS ALL REFUNDED AND OWE NOTHING FOR THE LEMON YOU SOLD ME!

in case ur wondering how i know how much the damage totals....Steve had the Service Department do an "estimate" on the car to see what it would cost to get fixed...AND gave it to me IN WRITING! u just gave me the very proof of how u further screwed me with this car...THANKS A MILLION!
