Able to Take Your Money

About 3 years ago, I was looking to make a change and wanted to move to a different city. I was going to move from Lafayette, Indiana to New Orleans. I contacted Able movers and spoke with one of their employees. He gave me an estimate of $800 dollars with all of my belongings. I sent him the money. I never got a receipt although he acknowledged over the phone receiving the funds. When I was ready to move I decided I didn’t want to change cities. I would stay where I was. When I requested my money back, there was a problem. They couldn’t find the employee I was talking to and of course there was no receipt for the money because it was all done electronically. Hence I was out of my money with no way to recoup my loss. What did I learn? Lots!!

Able Moving Company provided the worst moving services ever

Able Does needs to be put out of business!!! Their entire staff as far as I am concerned is not professional at all. Their receptionist Mercedes is the worst customer service rep I have ever had to deal with. Their drivers don't look professional they had no wok apparel that identified them as Able Moving employees. They moved my things from Chicago to Dallas, TX. I got my merchandise late, and I had items missing and damages to merchandise. I did not hire Able directly they got this job from their broker Budget Van Lines. I called budget to ensure I would get quality service and received the worst services ever. I strongly recommend that you do your home work before using Able moving or Budget to get a mover for you. Mercedes the rep at Able Movers was the worst person I had to deal with she was rude, uncooperative, hung up the phone during two conversations we had. She also threatened me that If I didn't pay the additional 173.50 with remaining balance I wouldn't be getting my things. Able needs to be put out of business for good. I have already sent a complaint to the BBB about this company as well and I still have to deal with them in regards to reimbursement for damaged and missing merchandise, I cant wait for this nightmare to be over.
