I am writing this complaint because I am excessively dissatisfied by the lack of customer service, and outraged how the employees and owners at this Aamco scammed and treated me. On the first day 12/19/16, I came into Aamco located on 157 Tully Road San Jose 95111 to get the free code check engine light as advertised on TV. I was told that the code was a cylinder 2 misfire, meaning it could be a number of things that could be wrong with my car,...Read more
I had my transmission replaced 2 times within 2 weeks and they still didn't get it done right. I originally only got the parts warranty so I've had to pay for labor each time. They haven't completed the job either time because they never had the computer reset done by Nissan. The Nissan dealership was shocked my transmission wasn't in worse condition after driving it for a week without the computer reset. Aamco is now refusing to honor my parts...Read more
A month later, my transmission went out and so I took it to Aamco and talked to the manager Joe about having a new one installed. He gave me a decent price and so I had them do the work. Joe told me that as I had purchased the transmission from them it carried a lifetime warranty. 2 Weeks later, my truck was done. I drove it 3000 miles and the transmission went completely out. I was in California and so I called Joe to discuss my options, Well...Read more

We were ripped off horribly by Carl Cox. We got tricked by free towing. It was all a joke. He ended up making my mom pay $2600 and trying to take her title. Shes still trying to find a way to get that money. They trick you by saying they offer finance options. It was all a scam. The salesman probably makes big commissions.

This was the most horrible experience I've had at a car shop . I just moved to the area and was in search of a mechanic to fix my car , a Cadillac SRX , which had a broken rear end . I was referred to AAMCO by one of their customers and was told maybe they would be able to fix it ...I called and spoke to TONY , who told me I could bring my car in to be diagnosed for free . I took my car to the shop on AUGUST 19, 2016 . I was told the repair for...Read more
00 for a transmission rebuild kit, + torque converter. I can live with that. Once they learned that my loan grant was $4440.00. Price now: $3800.00. Now, no one knew where my transmission was. It's already been 6 days. On the 6th day, it was now $3800.00. And, here's why. They took my transmission off. Sold it and stripped it for parts. Then I had to pay for all the parts they stole. And, they bought the transmission from a local junkyard, not...Read more

Day3- get a quote Day 8- get a new quote for more than double the original. Transmission is in pieces and they want to reassemble it before a tow truck brings it somewhere else and it will take at least a few more days to reassemble it. Now we're up to 11 working days - no vehicle - can't go to work. Then they demand cash to release the vehicle. This sounds like very fraudulent practice to me. Rude behavior from manager and from corporate...Read more
Went to my local AAMCO for transmission repair. Wound up needing a new transmission. Total cost $4,200. Torque converter shudder started with 20,000 miles left on the warranty. Replaced the transmission still had torque converter shudder. The AAMCO shop that i deal with check the whole engine and said there was no compression to cylinder 4, and low compression to the other 6 cylinders. He said if i replaced the engine the shudder will go away. I...Read more

I had bad experience with aamco I took there to check my transmission and Peter claim everything looks good but to run another test it's going to cost me $189.00 plus tax. Telling me without this test they can't really tell what's going on . So I agree which I think this how they get over when they alreay knew what was going on. Anyway call me back talking it is the transmission and how aamco is the only that can fix this type of...Read more
