HORRIBLE Bike Fit
My appt was at 06/08/12 @ 3:30 with Bob Murphy, apparently he had no idea I was getting a Guru DFU fit, which I found strange because that's what I scheduled on-line, so I had to wait about 35 minutes for him to set everything up. Upon walking into the fit room he immediately had a problem with my bike, asked who I bought it from, why I bought a Cervelo. Then he said since he didn't know I wanted a Guru DFU fit he didn't have any Speedplay pedals so he would have to take mine off my bike and seemed quite put out by this. When he was finally ready, we did all the computer measurement, to see where I felt good etc…Then he had to the make seat adjustments and had issues with the fact I had a Profile Design bottle cage and he couldn't move the seat, so he took it off and when doing that scratched my seat post. Then came the adjustments to my aero bars. He told me several times how he didn't like my aero bars (3T Aura Pro) and he wasn't a mechanic, rather he fits bikes. I'm thinking isn't part of the bike fit making the proper adjustments to the saddle and bars. He spent so much time trying to figure out my bars he didn't even touch at the cleats on my road or tri shoes, never looked at them once. On my first ride, Stuart asked my saddle was tilted up rather than down (no wonder I was so uncomfortable). The icing on the cake, when he put my bars back together they were uneven and loose, so loose they started drastically shifting and sliding while I was riding to the point it was dangerous.
