Money extortion

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT let A plus moving group move your things. They took my deposit through card and told me I needed to pay the rest through cash or money wiring.

The driver arrived 4 days late and told me I needed to give him $1500 cash to take my things. When I refused he said he was going to call the cops, I told him to do so. Then he told me it was ok and that I could pay through the company within 48 hours through cash or money wiring or they would hold my stuff hostage. I told him I didnt want him to take my things anymore and to leave my apartment.

He then said I needed to give him $2000 cash for the gas and effort to get to my apartment or he was driving off with my things. I called the police and when they arrived they told him to unload my things back into my apartment. Him and his workers refused and told them they werent moving my things off the truck. The officer had to call other officers to help my wife and sister and law take everything off of the truck.

(I did all of my talking to him on the phone since I am already in North Carolina working). After further deep review into this company they take your things from the property and hold them hostage while they extort you for thousands of dollars in extra charges that they only take in cash or money wiring so that there is no solid way to track the transactions.

SCAMMED

Caesar The Driver

My THREE flights were canceled due to bad weather from Brooklyn, NY to Dallas. I contacted A Plus to keep them informed on my situation and needed to rebook for the second time (due to flight cancelations) .

The driver Caesar told me that he will not do business with me, bc of me canceling twice. I stated to him that I have already paid and he can reimburse my money back. He told me he is not going to give me my money back, bc I am doing this on purpose just to get my money back and he then hung up the phone..

I have no control over mother nature and I'm just trying to get my furniture! Not to mention the quality assurance guy was very unprofessional and rude.

Scammed out of 2-thousand dollar deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

I did weeks of research, trying to find the best national moving company available. The one who WOULDN'T scam me.

And I thought A Plus Moving Solutions was that company, but I was sadly mistaken. They WILL scam you just like all the rest! The service, price, and everything else was great until 3 days before the move. 3 days, which was the very moment that my cancellation window closed in order to get any of my deposit back (over 2 thousand dollars).

Suddenly, someone within the company I had never spoken with before (Clark), called me on a Saturday morning and told me that my estimate was too low and that if we didn't raise it, they may have to leave some of my stuff behind. So he raised my amount of stuff by 1/3 but the total price by over 3x... how does the math on that even make sense at all!? Fortunately for me I already had my belongings in a storage unit, so I called them and found out exactly how many cubic feet my stuff was, and when I called A Plus back to notify them Clark never answered any of my calls.

He completely ghosted me, as did the original guy who took the reservation (Jake). Then after I emailed that this felt like I was being scammed and wanted an immediate refund, Jake got back to me and said it was out of business hours (their website says they're open on Saturdays) and that we were too close to the pickup date for me to get any of my deposit back. Even though Clark called me "outside of business hours" to jack up my rate to an insane level (19 thousand dollars), no one could be reached to address my issue with this. Finally, after going back and forth with Jake for over 36 hours via email, he said no refund would be given because we were within that 3 day window.

They just made themselves over 2 thousand dollars for providing absolutely no service whatsoever! A pretty good score to keep the scam going. Beware that this company cannot be trusted to keep their word and not screw you out of your deposit too! My suggestion...

if it's a local move, hire a local company... and if it's a national move, do it yourself!

I was scammed out of my deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

These guys are running a scam. I reserved a moving truck through A Plus Mover Solutions llc with rep Jake Wilson and was quoted an estimate of $3500 for the items that I have.

Once the movers arrive, which wasnt employees of A plus mover solutions llc, they reassessed the same items that I had but increased the estimate by almost $2000 stating that I had oversized items and when I refused there service and requested a refund of my $892.23 deposit I was informed that I couldnt get one. Reason being that the movers had arrived to the pickup location. This company is running a perfect scam because the the agreement to reserve the truck entrapment in so many ways. I was mislead and lied to by Jake Wilson stating that he would be there to walk me through the entire process .

Once the deposit was down he stopped answering the phone, its like he knew that once the 3rd party movers came it was going to be a problem. And because I signed the authorization reserving the truck I was screwed out of my deposit.

We are going through this right now with a guy named Peter Friedman, he quoted us one price and got our deposit and we can't get a hold of him now. We found them through Budget Van Lines and figured they were a reputable company but found out they are just a middle man that refers another middle man and everybody wants more money until it ends up being 2-3 times what they originally quoted. They have our stuff now and told us that it would take 2 days to move it from Colorado to Arkansas, but when they picked it up, they told us it could be anywhere from 2-10 days...now they are telling us that it could take up to 26 days...feels like a scam...

The same thing happened to us.
