Conservator ripped off my mom
- Family cut off after mom moved to assisted living.
- Conservator obtained POA, withdrew $35,000, and did not cooperate.
Because she was upset with us for suggesting mom move into assisted living, she cut off contact with us. A social worker at mom's nursing home talked mom (with dementia) into signing over power of attorney to person who later became conservator.
Conservator ignored family requests for information and took out $35000. in reverse mortgage funds.
Conservator hired a service at $4500 to clean out mom's house -who left food in cupboards and refrigerator and garage was filled up with junk and household chemicals. No estate sale was held so along with the $4500, the cleaning service got to keep any valuable items.
Once Mom passed away, conservator refused to co-operate with the estate personal representative.
