  • - Driver arrived around 12:15 PM at AFC Industries, walked the warehouse without an escort, refused to identify himself, and signed BOL as Ambrose.

A driver showed up to pick up freight today at AFC Industries in South Charleston, WV, at around 12:15 PM and went to walk through our warehouse without an escort. He was stopped by an employee and told he needed an escort or had to wait, and he continued walking and said he's been here before; it's not a problem.

We escorted him back to the receiving department because the person he went looking for was on lunch, so he would’ve been wandering around for quite a while, which is a liability situation. Once I asked for his name just to communicate with dispatch and management to ask their drivers to not do this going forward, he got hostile and said he wasn't giving anyone his name or answering questions and said we could call him manager if we cared that much. He signed the BOL with what looked like Ambrose or something similar, but like I said, he refused to even identify himself when we just asked for his name.

I hope this is at least addressed and does not continue to happen. Our employees did not feel comfortable when he was here acting the way he was.
