This auction showcases real works of art, but you are not sent the item you bid on! I dealt with Liam Lee who told me a bunch of nonsense about my item being shipped from their warehouse.
This was done as he ordered a look-alike from Peru and shipped that to me. So foolishly, he left the Peru stamps on it and changed frames. My attorney advised me to file a police report on him before the lawsuit is initiated, which I have done. I encourage anyone who has been lied to by them to file a police report and start legal action as I have done.
My attorney said my item was stolen by Liam and then he perpetuated the fraud by sending a look-alike item. This will be very easy to prove when it goes to court. You have two years from the date the crime (the sale) occurred. I still see the same bidders bidding, thinking they are going to receive the correct item.
They will receive the correct item until it proves to be a deal too good for them to sell.
My suit is for 100 times the price I paid as art is speculative and only stolen due to the value of the artwork I won. I cannot show pictures as this is a lawsuit.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

Verified ReviewerAuctioneer refused to provide provenance after auction.
In June, 888Auctions had an auction that allegedly featured the large collection of a southern Ontario estate. Artists included Chagall, Bluhm, whanki and Miro.
Each listing said that limited provenance was available. Moreover, each listing stated:
All lots that do not carry established documented provenance nor any past record of auction history record are described in the catalog as attributed.
Because all the listings indicated that provenance was available and none were described as attributed, I was convinced that the auctioneer had some established documented provenance supporting the legitimacy of the works. Further, I wanted to buy pieces from 20th century abstract painters, many of whom were not well-known, and certainly nowhere near the level of Chagall or Miro. I didn't think there would be a high risk of counterfeiting.
I bid on and won 10 works for a total of $2800.
Following the auction, 888Auctions refused to provide any information whatsoever, even withholding the name of the estate due to confidentiality concerns.
In my final email, I asked them to provide ANY information that would help demonstrate they werent simply working with a large counterfeiter. They never responded.

- Providing forged gem certificates
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: AVOID. I also bought 3 alexandrites from them. A jeweler believes the accompanying certificates were forged.

Verified ReviewerComplete and utter fraud
I went in on two auctions. In the first auction, I had "won" a wooden Bombay box for less than $7.
The delivery company that contacted me quoted $95 to send it to me. When I tried contacting both 888 Auctions and the shipping company, I received no response.
I was already actively bidding in a second auction that was supposedly located in Edison, NJ. I had "won" several items, including pottery, ink stones and a samurai sword. 888 Auctions was quick to charge my credit card, but did not send an itemized invoice until I pressed them via email.
They said the delivery company would reach out to me. I notified them that I did not need a delivery company because I could pick up the items in person and I would like the address and pick up times. I received no response, even after I sent another email.
I tried calling and the call bounced back as well. They are a scam.

They refuse to take it back
Bought a Freida Kahlo print on a August16, 2019 auction and when I received it a month or so later I found it in unexceptable condition. The catalog photo had been filtered to appear in good condition.
In fact, when received I found the print to be filthy and totally unacceptable. I contacted them and the refused to accept a return.
I'm out $366 plus $7500 in shipping costs. Do not deal with these scammers.
