my American Express has been charged and I have not received any response from your company! Usually a card is charged once shipping occurs, I have had zero response from Ray and I have called 10 times leaving my number and reason for the call ! Pleased response, my next action will be a legal inquiry!

Order status

Have ordered several lighting fixtures from Capitol in the past couple of months. At least one has come in but I have heard nothing as to the others.

At least two others were shipped at least three weeks ago. My sales person is on vacation until the 14th of July. My name is Cynthia Gentile 561-654-****. My sales person is Corinne Jaracz.

I am not ready for delivery as of yet as we are building and the house is not quite done but would like the status of what I have ordered please.

Cannot get in touch with the store or your customer service number on hold for awhile with your customer service and keep getting a voice mail of who knows whom at the store. Very frustrated have been a regular customer of Capitol for 20 years.

Don’t buy from this place please. I bought a $2,750 ceiling light and after 13 months the light is defected, 2 of the metal wire was broke and fall, half is still hanging on the ceiling.

Try to contact them for help with order parts and look like they don’t want to help because of little thing like this.

And they told me to call direct to the factory to order and i did, but the factory said they don’t sale for individual customers, i have to order thru the company that bought from and i got back to them and asked for their help but no one answered. Very disappointed for their service.

I ordered a chandelier light fixture from 1-800-Lighting/Capitol Lighting online.

I received a "used" light - by which I mean damaged, discolored, with 4 of the "spokes" missing.

After installation, I discovered that it also was not the correct light, it wasn't 32".

I called and emailed twice. Finally talked to someone. They basically said "too bad" since I installed the light - despite the fact I emailed them 8 pictures. I am in the middle of a big construction project ad the light person installed it since I did not remove the light

The company also said it was impossible it was "used" - despite the fact I sent the pictures of the box. At very least, it was up in someone's showroom for quite awhile then.

No resolution - just disputed with my AMEX and hopefully they help.

Poor, slow customer service

Ordered light, arrived broken, notified them immediately and they said they'd send out a replacement for the broken (glass) part. Waited 2 weeks never received.

Finally they said it was backordered so I cancelled and asked for return label and credit. Said it would take 24 hours and it's now over a week and nothing. I am not happy. I've ordered many items on line and when they need to be returned usually can do it within a day or two with credit showing up almost immediately.

Not them! Slow, slow, slow.

At this rate I'll have to dispute the charges on my credit card account to insure I get my money back. If they want to be competitive they need to clean up their service.

1-800 Lighting.com is guilty of false advertising

Yesterday I had a chat online with a rep. from the company regarding two table lamps I wanted to purchase.

I pointed out a website where the price was cheaper. On 1-800 Lighting's website they advertise 110% price match guarantee, and also a 30 day return policy.

I was on hold for a while, and finally was told that they couldn't match the price.

After I voiced my annoyance I was finally told they would match the price, but when I asked if I could return them before 30 days I was told no, because supposedly the lamps were close outs. No where on their website does it say the lamps were closeouts and not returnable.
