Friday, 27th September, 2024. Katoomba NSW, Australia - not overseas!
Local. Katoomba Taxi's 02 13227 services the Katoomba, Blue Mountains Area of NSW, Australia. The mechanical voice took my booking for 1.15pm on Friday. I waited until 1.30pm, called 132227 back, and was told the cab was on its way.
'Do you want to talk to the driver?' I replied to the machine, 'Yes,' and was put through to Eddie. He informed me that he was on his way to Sydney, a three-hour drive from Katoomba. As a result, by 1.45pm on Friday I was late for my appointment. So, I rang the mechanical voice and cancelled the cab, and called the more reliable Katoomba Taxi Service - not to be confused with 13227 cabs, also known as the Katoomba Taxi Service.
It was all very confusing, but I was told by the Katoomba Taxi company drivers that there was an obstruction or delay to the ordinary cabs obtaining 'Cab Charge', which is wholly owned by 13cabs. I have a Cab Charge card issued by the government and should be able to use it with either company. As I am a pensioner and depend on cabs to maintain my independence and to get out and about, I find that 13227 Katoomba Taxi cabs are bullies.
They own Cab Charge outright and deny the local cab drivers the use of this technology, which would enable them to better service the disabled and elderly in the area. This is a disgrace and even though this email may not get a reading or hearing because I am dealing with an overseas corporation, I would like to register my disappointment and dismay at the treatment.

I have been grossly overcharged and defrauded by a 13CABS taxi driver with ID {{Redacted}}. He was using GM Cabs for his metering and charging.

I have booked several of your maxicabs for my wheelchair bound Mother to make her appointments and to travel home after her appointmnts only to be left in the pouring rain Monday afternoon!
Your service is a total joke to the elderly! No wonder Uber has taken the services, as its all about the cost of the fare!
I will be making a complaint to ACA and the Ombudsman in Qld

Our trip was from W Hotel Melbourne ( Melbourne City) to Marriott Hotels Docklands which is 1.9km ( Shown in Google Map). The driver charged me $38.97, I asked the driver is there any other charge, he said there are $22 booking fees, the receipt shows the pick up location was from Suburb, it should be in Melbourne city. Also the Taxi is called by W Hotel Melbourne, they can prove the pick up location.
