I ordered a transmission including a warranty for a total of 1749. The mechanic received the transmission and reported to me 5hat it was no good. I called Woofins to request a refund. They blamed the mechanic and stated that I was given installation instruction when I ordered the part. I expained tothem that I received no such instruction and I would not have accepted the instruction because I...
The tilt steering wheel in my 87 Jeep had some play in the tilt joint so I decided to replace it. According to Woodfin's web site, all steering columns are pulled from a vehicle dismantled and any worn parts replaced. Called and placed my order, was told the column was on the shelf, rebuilt, and ready to go and would be shipped the next day. After numerous phone calls and talking to service reps...
This company SUCKS and does not back up its supposed warranty. I purchased the engine and replaced all the parts they said i needed to and after I got the engine in I had a problem with the oil pressure so i replaced the sensor and the oil pump. But nothing worked and it kept dropping oil pressure. finally after a week of trying to fix the problem the engine spun 2 bearings and then had to be...
This place is a JOKE! DO NOT BUY FROM WOODFIN!!! My 7year-old has better business practices at her lemonade stand! I'm in need of a transmission so I found the part online at woodfin's website, they advertised my part needed - their website said "Call in today for an extra 20% off!" - I called.... placed my order, (they were very helpful on the phone) they even got my vin# so they could verify...
Got engine they said was dyno tested and less then 20k miles!!!! Exhaust and intake dirtier than original engine with 143k miles!!cylinders were full of oil, OK possibly put in to keep from rusting or ceasing but took off tape on intake and there is a valve stuck open!!coil pack and plug wires were damaged from the bands used to strap engine down, belt roller was completely chewed to pieces....
Woodfins' policy per their website is that mileage on used parts will be no more than 15k per year. For the 2004 Trailblazer this works out to 135k miles. The transmission they sent had dark brown fluid and the inside of the pan had remnants of black deposit where they didn't clean it all off. I sent three emails and called twice. They are very apologetic on the phone and promise to call back...
Beware of these guys. Woodfins no longer operates a yard on genito they operate out of call center in midlothian. When you call Woodfins you are actually calling a company called Cuore. A call center on Alverser Dr. Cuore is actually handling all of Woodfins sales now. Cuore is a subsidiary of MS MArketing LLC which sells the MyGait computer and the New Wave Oven. When you call for auto Parts you...
I needed a new cylinder head for my V.W Gulf. I was told by the VW dealer to buy a refurbished part to save money. The price was very reasonable but my mechanic asked me if I got it at a junk yard; and that the part was worse than the one in my car! Ripped of Shipping I paid $100 for expedited shipping. The part was still shipped UPS Ground. When I returned the part shipping was $50 for UPS...
I bought an engine from wood fins for 1,750. Had it shipped to an auto shop. I paid for a warranty. The engine is bad. Now I owe the mechanic 1,200 dollars and I lost the dispute over the engine that I filed with my bank because the mechanic won't pull the engine until I pay him for putting it in. So, after spending almost three thousand dollars to get my car going, I'm right where I...
