WALMART - Pharmacy Hours?

I have a sprained ankle and am in an . I needed a prescription filled to take down the swelling in my foot. I called Wal-Mart to see what time their closed to which I was told 9pm!.

I hobbled into Wal-Mart and found the pharmacy". It was 8:30pm on the dot;. Upon approaching the window I made with the man behind the counter". I then stood there for about 5 minutes;. Finally, the man said to me, "Hello, ma'am|. We won't be able to fill your prescription'. We close at 9pm|." I asked him if he could please at least look at the prescription as it's a pretty common one. He said, "No, there's no way to fill it."

My question is this -- Why would you say you close at 9pm when apparently you close at 8:30pm? Why wouldn't the person who answered the phone when I called let me know that they wouldn't fill my prescription thereby saving me the painful walk in?

I'm sorry but this is going to be the I even think about going to Wal-Mart . is inexcusable. 31526b0

Report the incident to Walmart. They pay the pharmacist to work during the hours of operation. I would tell them that is they are going to stop filling prescriptions at 8:30 then they need to change their sign. The management probably is not aware of what is going on its the same way with the optical department.

I switched out of walmart pharmacy because it was bs. One prescription was sent there out if confusion and week later I still do not have it! First day stopped told me they never got a fax so ok ill call the office tomorrow since they are closed now to see if it was sent. Office said yes called replacement pharmacy to see if by accident was there and Nope ok please relax. Two.hours later call to confirm was there staff stated yep its here will be ready in 30mins. I swing in 5hours later due to work and am told its not there. Wtf! Then pharmacist says first time doc order mes that was not made in usa. Second med we are out of stock. Comes on truck tomorrow. A simple phone call back to me stating it was out rather then lying to me and saying it will be ready in 30mins would have been appreciated. There was even more ro follow but its not worth it. Never again ill use my new pharmacy they are real people that are trained properly.

walmart sucks. They need to to teach there employees that bing friendly and helpful is the only way to do customer service. Last night a car was in there parking lot and had left the lights on. So i went in and told the first employee I seen. She did not even look at me and mumbled ok as if I was disturbing her. I have worked in customer service. It is not hard to smile and look at someone when you speak to them. This woman was over the self checkout. Customer service seems to suck every time I go into any walmart in hot springs

It is ridiculous that the whole pharmacy shuts down for lunch! Why don't they go in two's? I spoke to the pharmacy and explained my dad was on his way to pick up my prescription! I explained that he is elderly and it would take him just a half hr would that be ok? He said that would be fine never mentioned they take an hour lunch, they were still open when he got there but refused to give him a presciption that was already filled. This is the walmart pharmacy in Rooseville, Michigan! I will never go back!

I work in food lion and there is always people complaining. People get mad over the smallest things that are ***. Why is that the coustmer can always complain but sometimes the cusmtomer may even treat the worker in a not so nice way. When you work in a store or a pharmancy you have to that know all the time it goes your way. " if you want something done do it your just try the job and see if you can do better instead of compalaning all the time.

You *** do realize that if you can't get the swelling down, then it can damage the ankle permanently? This prescription was for anti-inflammatory drugs. Not narcotics.

Just so everyone knows, you can't get high off anti-inflammatory drugs.

The web site is called posses consumer. Obviously it serves as a place to vent. Someone please explain the reasoning behind wasting ones time leaving a message.defending the store that upset someone enough that they needed.to comment on it. Or insulting them and calling them a drug.addict. How idiotic. Furthermore if you feel the need to defend and identify.yourself with a corporate entity like wall mart that doesn't give a *** about you well it just doesn't a whole lot about your character OR self worth. Sad stuff.

For the record- the pharmacy doesn't take an hour lunch - they close for 30 minutes when there is only one pharmacist. The pharmacist is typically asked to work a 13 hour shift and is not allowed to leave the pharmacy by most state regulations during that time. The 30 minutes they close for lunch allows the pharmacist the only break they may get that day. how many of you work a 13 hour shift with 1 single 30 minute break?

I work 16hrs straight with no break, I have 4 MR clients in varying moods and abilities or functioning levels and I never treat them badly even though they are constantly demanding something or another. I have one 8hr shift midnight -8am then I'm off 8hrs, back in at 4pm for my 16hr shift until 8am then off for another 8hrs and back again at 4pm for another and last 16hrs. My clients range from independent to direct constant care, some of these clients are violent and as stressed as my job can be I've not once taken that stress out on them by neglience, or any form of abuse. I understand a pharamacist can have a stressful day just like anyone else, but that's what facades are for, you smile and grit your teeth and get it done then you go home and realize that's why you do what you do, because the people you love depend on you. The clients I take care of their families depend on me to do my job right so their loved ones are well cared for and I get no recognition for what I do, its what I'm paid to do, just like a pharamicist is paid for knowing about different drug facts, crazy hrs, and polite friendly fast costumer service. It sucks sometimes, but its what we signed up, every job has an and a down side :zzz

Wow that's really great what u do. I can't believe u go 16 hours straight without eating, using the bathroom, or even sitting. You're super woman I know I couldn't ever do that. :eek

I could not agree with you more. The pharmacist also has employees that deals with customers. With better communication amongst the staff and customers there would be less confusion. That being said, people that are in a business were your working with customers or clients, if you do not like your job find one that suits you!!

I understand that ladies frustration, I have not had that kind of service at wallmart but I have seen long lines with one person at the register and 5 or 6 people in the back talking. Unfortunately customer service is gone for good, alot of places are going that route and I have seen alot of people who is not willing to put in 40 hours of work for 40 hours of pay. How many times have you gone to a store and only see 2 or 3 lines open but you see alot of employees standing around doing nothing. As far as that individual who says people whine but keep coming back, well with the way the economy is everyone is trying to save money where ever and when ever they can. Maybe instead of being sarcastic maybe you need to try to help improve the service because if I remember correctly your customer service is YOUR JOB!!!

I do not know of any other pharmacy that takes a 1hr lunch break. The pharmacy staff is usually grumpy and unfriendly. Their drugs may be a little cheaper, but the service stinks. I'd rather spend a little more and go elsewhere.

I happen to work for walmart. Not all the stores are the same. I can understand the complaint and the script should have been filled. I think they take the script until 9pm but may not be able to fill it until morning and should have been explained that. We also have hours to work and can get into trouble if we work over the hours alloted. I am sorry she and many more of you had problems but dont blame all the stores for what your walmart does!!!!!!!!!!!!

they could at least extend there hours by one hour longer since they do get an hour for lunch.that would be the reasonable thing to do but what do i know to them i'm just anoather complaining face in the crowd. :zzz
