my husband and I got brain washed after about 3/4 hours to buy the Mayan Palace 2 bedroom resort.they make it sound so good to you that you eventually fall and believe everything that is said to you.

besides all the promises of assuring us we would get a discount on flights, other resorts we were told that they would sell two weeks for us at the beginning of each year since we would only be using one week a yr. well guess what it was bull!!! just called last week and was told to hire a broker for this. Spoke to a member at services Vida Vacation Group and she apologized and said they have been getting lots of calls claiming they were also told the same thing.

yet there not doing anything about it.

if i were to stop paying my timeshare i bet they would be all over me to collect payment but yet there not fulfilling there part of the deal but its OK!!not fair to have to pay so much money when they cant keep there side of the deal!!! 30708ac

I am soooo glad I found this website. I bought into Vida's lies 2 years ago while on vacation in Cancun. I was shown a lovely one bedroom unit and shown all the bells and whistles with sliding doors etc. to show a studio. Needless to say when I went to use my timeshare January 2013, I discovered that the studio I saw in my tour was not the studio I stayed in. It reminded me of a room at the economlodge! I felt like I was a victim of 'bait & switch'Then they had the nerve to try and get me to upgrade for more money! I was told I got the 'introductory' unit. Can anyone tell me what that means??? The thing that really annoyed me was the fact that there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room(which is standard in most hotel rooms nowadays.) And the Mayan Palace's ARE NOT ALL INCLUSIVE! which I certainly was not aware of because if I was I never would've purchased in the first place.

We were in Cancun in Feb. Stopped at a travel booth and told what we wanted to a ride on SeaView glass bottom boat. He could get us tickets for $15 each, what a savings over $60! But we had to listen to a 90 minute presentation. We said yes. That presentation lasted 4 hours, even when we said no and wanted to leave. They had no record of the SeaView company anc could not give us tickets, but said reservations were made at $15. The next morning the boat company had no record and said they could not accept the $15 and sold us tickets for $38! Very bad communicationa or was that deliberate? Resort Grand Mayan is a beautiful place, but not what we are intersted in. One learns just say no before you ever start. Nothing is free. We did get a great breakfast, two t-shirts and 2 blankets!!
