This is my second update on my defective Victoria's Secret purchase. I returned all the items from three orders and only received a partial refund. I have contacted VS Customer Service a total of six times in an attempt to get a FULL refund but I am still out over $200. The last person I spoke to via Customer Service on Thursday 4/11 ASSURED me I would get a full refund and indicated the refund would post to my account immediately!! However, as of today, I am still waiting. However, I did go to a VS store in my local mall recently to compare (and quite frankly, smell) the bras and clothing there - the smell was very minimal on most of the bras and I did not detect any smell whatsoever on the underwear in the store. Of course, the smells of VS perfume permeated the air so that may have masked any chemical smell, and I did not purchase any bras so the chemical smell may return once the bras are washed, but I didn't want to take the chance on having to return items yet again - at least not until my first 3 orders and refunds are resolved. If I do purchase bras/undies in store I will definitely post another update.

I just found this thread online.I purchased 7 bras from VS this past week, plus matching underwear.

They are cotton, and do not have a wire?. I washed them on "delicate" last night and the chemical smell that was omitted from my laundry room has infiltrated OUR ENTIRE 3000 SQ FT HOUSE! OMGosh, I'm disgusted/. I am now washing them a second time, but having read this thread I wonder if it's a total waste of my time!.

I don't foresee the smell coming out - the chemical smell is so strong I had to actually open windows (in the freezing cold) this morning,. I'm not sure what to do - take them back, contact VS customer service, etc.. I find it infuriating that I've spent so much money on these, only to NOT be able to wear them due to the smell|. It's horrific, and I certainly don't want to wear them|.

I primarily bought them for the gym!. I also noticed that some of my older VS bras do get a terrible smell after a month...despite my meticulous cleaning and personal hygiene.

I've had to throw them out in the past due to this, but the new ones are by far, the most over-powering chemically-smelling bras I've ever encountered!UGH! 2f3acad

ALWAYS return online purchases at your local store. They won't give you grief over the reason for your return, they'll ship it or you (saves you money on shipping), and you can get a cash refund right there on the spot or have the money put back on your credit card.

UPDATE: I have washed the bras and underwear a total of 7 times and they STILL SMELL like chemicals. I even let them air dry outside a few minutes, all to no avail. The smell even comes off on my hands whenever I handle the bras/undies, so I ended up putting them in ziploc bags this evening just to rid the house of the smell. I wish I could describe the odor - it's a cross between paint *** and ammonia. After airing out our home for several hours and turning our hepa filters on high, the smell still lingers! It's unbelievable. Everyone who has entered our house today thinks we're painting. I did call VS Customer Relations (800-945-5088) and they offered to exchange the product, but acted as though they have NEVER heard this complaint before??? I find that very hard to believe given my research online. At any rate, the customer service rep I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful - I was prepared to return them but she convinced me that this was a fluke, and that the new merchandise should be fine. One of her suggestions was that the delivery truck may have had some type of chemical/exhaust issue; I had other clothing delivered the same time my VS lingerie was delivered and it all smelled perfectly fine. Still, I will repost an update when I get the new merchandise. While I have purchased many things from VS both in the store and online, and a couple of items have had a strong "new" smell to them,...
