I AGREE with all the other one stars. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, DON'T TAKE IT HERE. I wanted to make sure they were the right Vet to spay my female, which they wanted $500, and they wanted to give my dog the WRONG heartworm meds. I questioned them 3 times, and they said, this is what we've been giving this breed for years. I said, don't you know that can KILL them? The doctor left and came back in...
I know my boy and he has never been ill in his life. He has had the best of medical care for his entire life as one of my best friends who actually gave me the dog after he rescued my dog from an abusive owner when he was a puppy. Dr Nesse has taken great care of Uno until he died two years ago. I now take Uno to another friend of mine who also happens to be a Vet. I am also someone who is...
I took my Chihuahua to them in 2010. He had growths on his tongue. They ruled out burn, chemical ingestion and even tried antibiotics that had no effect. Last resort was a biopsy. The biopsy came back with Diagnosis of Lymphosarcom(Cancer) of the tonge. Terminal diagnosis. Of coarse I was devistated. Given options of starting chemo therapy. The cost and side effects made that an option I did not...
Very very unhappy with this company. I recently adopted an animal from the Humane Society in Pasadena. Apparently they share information. I got a call today from this number, I called them back they were offering a first visit for free. I take my animal to Vetco inside Petco. I was very unhappy that my information was shared and solicited for reasons of selling their services. I asked them to...
#l - failed to give distemper shot during regular visit. they don't know how it happened and did give it later after a 2 hour battle for free. but almost cost me a vacation because kennel would not board the animal with out it. #2 - failed to update shot records at time of visit gave me old records, had to go back. # 3 gave me wrong meds for my dog when she had teeth extracted #4 - sent card...
I very was very happy with my vet and his staff. Sadly, VCA bought him out in 2011 and since then there has been a steady upward spiral in charges for basic services. For example, "office visit very brief" NOV 2012 $36.50, NOV 2013 $49.15. 34.7% increase. "nail trim routine" NOV 2012 $12.00, NOV 2013 $16.59. 38.3% increase. I had followed this doctor from another facility which had been...
Save your time and money. They are more expensive than other animal hospitals with poor techs. I muzzled my 85 lb GSD and brought him in for a check up and shots. A nail clipping is part of the over priced check up. They gave him his first in a series of two shots but said he was to upset to have his nails clipped. I said fine, he has to come back next week, we can do it then. Brought him back...
Veterinary Specialty Center of the Hudson Valley - sold out to VCA. I am not sure why they agreed to the sale, but as soon as the transaction was complete - all the caring staff, techs and vets were out the door. Our dog was diagnosed and treated for cancer. Several months of chemotherapy ran up a very large bill. The staff offfered to help with a payment plan that made the treatment possible....
My dog started drooling one day I took her in to VCA and was seen by Dr. Rodrigues, who I like, was very good, compassionate, and went out of her way to keep in contact with me. Then about 2 weeks later my dog was acting like she couldn't breath and was making a weird noise. I immediately took her in and Dr. Rodrigues was able to figure out what was wrong and fix it. Then about another week...
The details don't matter much. The problems at the Vca animal specialty center in yonkers, ny are too many to list. I'll start with they don't give a hoot about you or your pet. They care only for your money so the average joe beware unless you have excellent credit or nice savings amount., which I did. I paid these people 5000 plus and when I came to pick my cat up without a proper diagnosis...
