Last year I sent my daughter a package a week before Valentines day from Washington State to Southern California.They (USPS)sent it to their hub in Bellflower, CA.,then sent it to a town on the border of Mexico.

Next day it was returned to Bellflower. It took a whole day after to reach Beaumont, CA. (Beaumont is 1-1/2 hour drive from Bellflower.)This year I sent a small box, so I tried PRIORITY mail. Paid the rate, USPS stated expected delivery on Wednesday the 13th...NOPE DIDN'T HAPPEN!

STILL NOT THERE. Oh that's right "expected". Last tracking/delivery conformation was Tuesday 2 a.m. leaving Kent, WA!.

Someone mentioned in another comment (probably a USPS employee no doubt)the only sure way for guaranteed delivery is Express mail,. The price is quadrupled from priority|.

What a rip/.Used to stand by and defend the Postal Service, but not anymore...I'll pay extra and go UPS, yeah they have their faults, used them in the past with no problems but I'm going in that direction...of course until they screw up. 31474e1
