Our store began receiving calls from some middle eastern sounding man speaking relatively poor English on Monday asking for Staci!. We have a cashier named Staci and they asked us to relay a message to her that the "legal dept" was calling for her and would call back'. They would not leave a number,. They called back 4 more times in a row".

On Tuesday it started happening again and I finally got involved when my assistant manager notified me about the calls and asked me to get them to stop calling:. I answered the phone?. There was a lot of noise in the background including a busy signal and I could hear other people talking and could hear my own voice being re-broad-casted in the "room" they were in". I asked who I was speaking with and was told the "legal dept" so I said "the legal dept from where?" and he said something in his gibberish and I said I needed a call back number (that is a law that they give it) so I could give the message to Staci|. He refused and kept saying that she took out a payday loan and if I didn't cooperate they would "come after me".... Right!. So he hung up then called right back and started all over again, I got him to tell me it was "US Cash Advance". This happened about 20 times in the next 5 minutes with it finally culminating with him using the F word on me to which I told him he had no idea how way out of his league he was. I finally got a coaches whistle out and blew his brains out and he stopped calling. The touch tone #1 also works very effectively if held for about 10 seconds.

I googled US CASH ADVANCE and found many complaints and articles about this situation. I then proceeded to call the FCC and finally was directed to the FTC (1-877-382-4357) and filed a complaint. The young lady I spoke with informed me that they knew about this and that "everybody is looking for them". I told her about the harassing calls, how they were preventing us from conducting business and about his use of the F word on the phone (that adds to the charges) and told her if/when they ever caught them would she please let me know. They think they are using prepaid cell phones ( I disagree, it had to be a land line because they were hitting the redial button and literally were ringing the phone the same few seconds they hung up, you can't do that on a cell phone.) She stated that they have been very successful at getting "little old ladies who don't even know what a payday loan is" to pay them money. They call them and tell them that one of their kids is in big trouble and they need to pay this bill or else they are going to come and take away the house of the little old lady and they actually do it - they actually wire these bottom feeders money without even checking it out. Their drug of choice is wire transfer. These may be terrorist based in some way and then are using the money they steal to finance their operations.

The best advice from the FTC - "ignore it and it will go away" DON'T ENGAGE THEM. Just hang up. (or blow a coaches whistle into the receiver with all your might"

Anyone who gets contacted by this or anything similar please contact the FTC at 1-877-382-4357.

I just got scammed by US Cash Advance. They have been calling me for weeks to take a loan I finally do it even though I was unsure of why I had to get a moneypak. I was not familiar with what they were. Needless to say less $500 that I could not afford hence the need for a loan; I am a cancer patient that will be living on the street with my belongings next week.

Yeah they just tried to do this to me this morning :x But I don't take loans out. So I knew ( thankfully )it was a bunch of cow poo. I called made a complaint. And got identity fraud etc alert for all my information. Was pretty cheap for piece of mind only $25 a month. Well Worth it. The Guy said his Name was James Copper and His Number is 727-827-8711. I searched the Number and found you guys and a ton of others that are having the same problem. You guys may want to do the same with your personal info. Will save you in the long run. Good Luck and God Bless !

Today at work I received a call from officer Daniel Stein claiming he needed to speak to me regarding a case. So I get on the phone and he claimed that I owed money from a payday loan of 891.00 which I did not owe. Originally he said he was calling from federal investigations against my ssn #. Anyways I believed him at first and said I would pay after work but he then said that it was too late and that I had to pay before that by 2 pm. He said to call 877-423-1163 and asked for Raymond Scott. So explained to my employer what I needed to send this money gram person to person 5o Jesus Rodriguez in Philadelphia PA 19145 or 19125...forget the zip. But at that time employer called the above number and someone named Ben answered and said he was from bureau of something couldn't understand him then he said US Cash Advance. Then what happens is they somehow rang all the lines in the office and were threatening the staff. He even said that he was going to send a couple officers to my house and to question my neighbors. He also said that he wanted to ruin the place of business by calling every second of the day for today tomorrow the next day since he doesnt have anything else to do untiil every one is fired!!!They continued to harass the office for several hours. We ended of calling police put s report with FCA , fraud alert with credit bureaus and ssn....hope this helps :upset

It has been an ongoing harrasment for two years with the phone calls at work and at home and the emails, threats of being arrested by local police, calling my employer, etc., I finally decided to contact the local State Troopers, I gave them the phone numbers, the names all the information and within a few hours they called me back saying this is a HUGE scam and has been going on for several years. This particular one was based in Pettsburgh and they notified the officers there. They told me there was no documents for my arrest.

This is thing is crazy. I had to change my cellphone number because they wouldnt stop calling me. Now they keep calling my job and I just keep hanging up. It amazing how persistant this b******s are. The guy named "Daniel Smith" called. I told him that by law if you are a collector and I tell you not to call my job you have to stop, especially if I give them the information for my attorney. They keep calling and refuse to call my attorney. He said to give him my cell # and i was like you have it you call it all the time. I have no idea how much more I can take of this. It's interupting my work, which i work for an attorney. I hate this *** and wish it would just go away.

i kept getting calls from this supposed company. just recently got worse. (after haning up right away several times) finally, they left a message. very unlike a professional business. saying "if i dont hear from you or attorney very soon, i wish you good luck" so i called back just to see what is this. A oversea's man answers the phone, used the name derick brown. he says, we have a court hearing for you tomorrow, and are pressing charges against you. i said for what? then continued to say that it was united cash advance. (alot of stuff he was saying, i had asked him to repeat bc i couldnt comprehend his english) and that i owe 326 dollars. I said i have had two payday loans, neither from this company and i paid both off because their ridicolous rates. i then asked him, about, there is suppose to be a notice to go to court so you can show up if you want. he ignored that ? he asked me to get a green dot money pak. and call him back as soon as i get it, then fax it to him. wouldnt you normally take a check or credit card. he says no , they do not accept. already knowing it was a scam, i looked it up online, and called my lawyer, they said dont pay anything, the phone number is a scam. they cant call you and threaten you in any way. which he did a couple of times , when it went 30 minutes without hearing from me, i got a callfrom the same number but from a different guy speaking bad english. saying his name was james miller. i heard the name, but... This site was helpful. I've been getting drilled by these people since Saturday, they call my cell and my work place. I just called FTC as well and it sounds like they've gotten a flood of calls by people like us.

Yes, this is crazy. It seems that since January 1, 2013 these people are really out on a mission. I got 3 phone calls from three different companies telling me I took out a payday loan and never paid it back. I asked when because I did obtain one a while back. They told me between 2007 and now. When they first call, they ask for the number and name of your attorney. They say that you know why they're calling. They go on to say that the sheriff is coming to get you at your home or place of employment. They are very nasty. They start talking all fast and with an accent so its hard to understand. They transfer you all over the place within their company from one person to another. Once you act as if you want to pay they either give you a few hours to come up with the money or a day. They also ask that you wire the funds. Most would want to pay with a debit card or checking account so they have a record. I was so scared when the first company called that I borrowed the funds from a friend and paid them $380. After I got the money pak and gave them the information, I called three additional times for a confirmation number and was told that I was paid in full after they asked for $1,100. I started wondering then. When the second company called I googled the numbers and came up with landline and no other information. I was told to fax a statement over with my email address, entire social security number, copy of photo ID, etc. I did because I didn't want to go to... Show more

They did the same to me and got me for $440.00 and are still trying to get money from my bank. No loan and i have never received a dime! They are also located in the same offices as ge money bank. I tracked numbers they were using and they are all in same location. Beware of both us cash advance and ge money bank. One will try to get you to pay the other for that phantom loan that you did not receive! Hope this helps
