I booked 2 RT tickets on January 11th 2012 for a trip to Las Vegas from Tampa which departed 3/28/2012 returning 4/2/2012.At the time of online booking, I selected seats for each flight segment.
Upon Check-in on 3/28 we were split across the plane from TPA to CLT and split on the plane from CLT to LAS. When checking the bags in Tampa, the Agent corrected it for us kindly. Not so from LAS to PHX...no help after multiple attempts and could not switch seats on the plane with other passengers....then to irritate us even more, I had to check in with the agent at PHX once we got there with more than 1hr layover that..."All we have left is middle seats!" Your agent XXXXX XXXX needs to retire...she was absolutely no help...she wrote my name down but you could tell...there was no way she was going to try and work anything out. I mean come on...row 24E for my significant other and row 9E for me....i mean really???
Best you can do??? In January I booked 6E, 6F, 6E, 6F 6E, 6F and 6A, 6B respectively. So for the little extra revenue us airways receives in upselling seats and catering to those with "status" you lose sight of customer service and developing any new customer relationships...you think it's all about shareholder value?? well guess what...good customer service leads to shareholder value...what are the shares worth anyway when you just file bankruptcy every few years anyway?
Way to wipe out shareholder value! Focus a little on us...the customer. Nice touch as well on having to hear your wonderful promotion that ends April 30th FOUR times " sign up now for our credit card and get 40K points" why don't you have some level of responsibility and disclose the interest rates and other T's & C's the card carries with it? Oh...that's right...it's all about shareholder value...and by the way...Your company clearly has some leadership issues and I will prove myself right in due time as I will never hear back from this complaint...but I will save a copy just in case.
Lastly, in LAS I was offered an upgrade at the self check in...upgrade to first class for 150.00 but since we were both being checked in at the same time, it didn't say if it was just for me or if it was for me and the person I was traveling with...second, I didn't trust that the seats would be together, 3rd, I couldn't tell if it was just for the 45 minute segment of the flight from LAS to PHX, or if it included all the way through to TPA...so I just laughed and paid the $50.00 total for each of our bags...that was pretty easy to figure out ($25.00 per bag) and that it was for both travelers.I am a dividend miles member as well but didn't have the numbers with me today...not that it matters anyway. 2f34d2b
